I'm in the process of building a house and would like to add some sort of Transformers reference to it. I'm not one whose life revolves around TF that I'd build a shrine for them. I just like TF enough to put in a wink. So something like a small Autobots/Decepticon logo embedded in a ceramic tile or something like that.

Since this is gonna stay there permanently, I want it to be small and discret. The sort of thing that a fellow collector would notice but would otherwise go unnoticed and blends well into the room. An obscur reference would be ideal (like Unicron's head or the Matrix, etc.)

I could use some suggestions as to what/where/how to do this.

    thx.

Add a spaceship in a volcano

It was discreet enough to hide the Autobots from just about everyone for millions of years, I'm sure it could work for you too.

On a more serious note, maybe use the pattern on Prime's trailer in a hallway or something?

Stained glass Autobot/Decepticon insignia? Something not permanently built into the house, at least, so that if you have to resell, it can be removed.

For more temporary solution for the garden, you could try and have a flowerbed shaped like a Autobot/Decepticon logo or the Matrix or something like that, usin' flowers with corresponding colors. Of course, for that you might wanna ask some more advice from someone with horticultural/gardening training for stuff like flowers that are ideal for the soil/shade in your yard. I myself am a horticulturalist student, so I just had to say that out, that whole idea. XD

I think the matrix shape in general is great if your wanting it to be discreet. Not many people would recognize it for what it is except a transfan. Also maybe the sphere shape with grid of Vector Sigma, either could be easily dismissed by those unfamiliar with the Transformers franchise.

Places to put one of them?

Like Walruslaw said, a door knocker, or maybe engraved on a cornerstone or door facing. :2c:

Why not make your house transformable? That'd rock!

On a more serious note the Prime trailer's pattern in the bathroom or a hallway sounds nice and subtle. Oh and I also echo the Matrix suggestions.

You could get a projector, then print whatever tf pics you want on a transparency and then paint them on your walls...Or alternativly make cut outs of the faction symbols on thin wood and screw em into the drywall or something. Hit up those home renovation shows and just use Transformers art and ideas instead of flowers or whatever they have for the examples.

Lots of good ideas guys. Thanks. But keep them coming.

And don't forget, I need something low key and not to attract attention on it.

    thx

Somewhere unassuming, like the bathroom or the kitchen, put two small rectangular windows in the wall, and centered underneath them have a built in shelf with small cubby holes in the shape of Optimus Prime's grill, so that the space on the wall looks subtly like his torso.

I agree the Matrix would be great somewhere. I'd love to have a Matrix door knocker!

Funny, in my house I can't hide from TF's. I couldn't be discreet if I wanted to, They're EVERYWHERE! (except the bathroom)

I just would make sure to have enough storage space for TFs.

If I were you I would think more about the decoration, like having a custom matrix lamp or a metallic logo.

You could simply paint a room with Prime's color scheme.

You could get a small parking sign and place on the garage door. Something to the effect of "Autobots Only" or "Transfan Parking". If your door is metal, then small magnets would hold it in place plus allow it to be removed if necessary.

Decorate one of the rooms as an "automobile" room. It would just so happen, of course, that all of the automobiles would be TF-related - but only a fan would know that.
