For those that knew Bryce (Brr-Icy) his family has started a gofundme.

Bryce Rutledge memorial service, organized by Brody Osterling Samuelson

To say the very least, this man was a fixture in the community and had some of the most comprehensive and beautiful photos of vintage transformers… if you’ve ever googled a resource, you’ve come across his images!

He will be missed! If you feel compelled to support, it would be lovely if anyone that has ever seen his work would even submit just $5 to contribute… what a message that would send about the support of the communities he dedicated so much of his time to!

I had the pleasure of being part of TFYLP during his time as a contributor as well.

His knowledge about the line's history was invaluable, not to mention we had great discussions on so many topics I can't recall them all.

A great person and a terrible loss to us all.

My condolences to his family and friends.

As I said in my post Log into Facebook | Facebook on Facebook, it was supposed to be an unofficial guide and Hasbro objected. Hasbro had no legal way of stopping publication but they still flexed to get Bryce and Brandon to back down.

I've wanted to revisit this project and was going to speak with Bryce and Brandon about it a little while ago. Hasbro won't publish it, Hasbro don't have a publishing division so it would need to be published through whoever has the publishing licence.

While Hasbro does have different people in place now, they are cut from the same cloth.

Either way, now isn't the time for trying to locate the files and negotiate publication rights. His parents need to grieve, not be hounded about pictures.

To be clear, I in no way think that’s a priority or something to bother them with… I’m doing all my communication through 2 close friends of his that are helping the family with selling his collections and organizing their GoFundMe. The only thing I did was mass download all his photos online to make sure they aren’t lost if any of the hosting sites go down

Done and done. I don't think 5 bucks is too much to ask for. I didn't know brr-icy but I've seen alot of his work, that's for sure.

    It all adds up :)

I will also be overpaying for a piece or 2 from his collection (they’re going to be selling it off to help as well) … and I would be honored to have something from him to remember him by.

I sold him several vintage pieces and boxes back in the day and have always enjoyed our chats, his photography, etc.

I’m still holding hope that one day his Ocular Echo project will see the light of day. What a legacy to leave the community!

A little late on my part, but no one deserves to go like that. Really makes you think about how crazy, unpredictable, sad but precious and beautiful life is. My condolences to everyone who cared about him.
