I like how this looks so far probably going to buy this myself. As for set two I would love to see an engine upgrade for the explorer (blast off) figure since it has no engines. You could use the engine like the flame thrower from fall of Cybertron game in bruticus mode. Just an added idea You might be able to make the shuttle look like the shuttles from Armageddon as well with the extra boosters.

I wish someone would just shapeways the shield. The FP Bruticus really needs it. This looks cool & would fit the bill but it looks like this thread is going on 3 years since its 12/2014 now. I started following the progress but this has to be the most delayed (yet announced) piece in tf history.

I read the first part and initially assumed the second part said "it'll be released tomorrow" for a cause and effect statement.

 

We are still working with the factory. Fact is it will cost thousands of dollars just to get the moulds made. So those of us involved are trying to work out how to make it happen. Sorry for the delay. We thought about a kick starter like bmog but not sure how well that would fly over.

So what do you guys think? A kickstarter? We would have to get like $6000 or so to get a first batch out.

 

not to sound like a dick but if this thing is not ready, which it sounds like it's not, why would you make this available for preorders? that makes no sense to me

 

Oh not sounding like one at all. Basically..if preorder numbers are poor we would have to cancel it.

 

i will put this back in my stack if it will help get it made. i just like to be able to get free shipping so i took it out cause it was the last thing left in there, but knowing it will be a while i will put it back in

 

i get that but....this thread started two years ago. and a number of people have dropped preorders they made because of no updates or anything. im sure cancelling preorders hurt that overall number. seems like a risk to put it up then go dark. i know people had that issue with the microblaze set as well.

i just seems difficult to expect a preorder when the payoff now seems on the slim side. dont get me wrong i hope you meet your quota and it sells. hell i have one on bbts on preorder myself so i feel i have a bit of stake in this now.

im just curious is all as to how this is working out.

It is an interesting thing. Being a fan and trying to get something made. We are still working on it. Nice to know peeps are still interested.

 

I would sign up for a Kockstarter! $30 for one silver and maybe $55 for it and the toon one? I'd bite on that.   Throw in some random stuff, maybe some custom things you've worked on and I'm sure you'll get enough money to get these made!

 

At $30 they would need 200 backers to reach their goal. I am in for a toon one, if you can match/beat the retailers price and also include free shipping i'd be down for the kickstarter. not sure what their markup is but i'd pay ~$35 shipped to get a toon one from the KS.

Out of curiosity for my expectations, how are you looking in terms of your goal right now? Extremely far, close, etc?
