So I recently got a THF megatron and it had a bad amount of silver paint over spray on the little clear parts on his stomach.

So I removed the clear piece and used 90% IPA to remove the silver... but it also took off the color tinting. :/

So now I am on the hunt for transparent paint.

I could do the crayola markers or sharpies and future trick. But I am worried they will fade over time.

Another local option I have are translucent airbrush paints... but can you brush on airbrush paint without issue?

The last option is to suck it up and pay for the expensive Tamiya transparent paints on amazon. Not to keen dropping 25 bucks on 4 jars of paint though. :/

Airbrush paint is easy to use and actual brush with. It's just a lot more liquidy than standard paint.
The only thing to watch for is streaking, but that can be solved with a fee drops of flow enhancer added in.
