Thanks guys, my collection sure has changed since that interview. Maybe i'll do an updated one in the future.
What an awesome amazing collection! What's important is you have a great amount of space to display everything well without dealing with overcrowding.
Thanks man, it's not a huge amount of space, but I can't stand stuff being crowded, so I don't like to let it get that far. I actually sold over half my collection off (animated, alts, classics, wst) to make it a cleaner display Updated with MP area, and some of the other stuff rearranged
This has got to be honestly one of the more better collection's that I have ever seen. Really impressive.
Yeah the layout is looking great, and it's not super-predictable like some collections. I also use this thread now as a guide for my future purchases! also a good reference for the scale of some of the vintage toys particularly the JG1 one toys that I have never seen, other than photos etc. Before I read your blog, I never wanted / had heard of Grandus, but now he's like in my most wanted top 5, don't know if I will ever get one, may get the cheaper BRAVE version and do a repaint / mod. Is there a ref anywhere online for what features were dropped from the BRAVE release, such as not being able to combine any more with Garry and Star Convoy? I'm not sure if you've already covered that in one of your blogs, or maybe that UK blog from that guys who also posts at KAPOW toys, I can't remember the name of it just now, but he also has that super long BRAVE toy thread here at TFW which is epic.
Thank you sir. You're referring to Sid's blog. The head remold removes the connector from the back of his head. I'm unsure if the shoulders will still connect to metro with the new head there. Personally i would hold out for a grandus. You can sometimes snag them pretty cheap. I've seen complete yellowed ones for 300. Quick peroxide and he's white. Bodies also pop up around 250-300 white if you're patient.
Really impressive stuff! I love the use of the clear risers... going to have to try that when I get my collection set up
Yeah, the thing that kills it (for me) is postage to Australia. Slap on another hundred to whatever price he is found for. That doesn't even include postal insurance either.
