Keep in mind they are custom made by one guy and there isn't really another good stand on the market. Unicron.com's stand doesn't even hold a candle to this one. I've had mine for over 6 months and it is an excellent investment if you want to display your Unicron in planet mode, especially if he is on a high shelf.

The price is subjective to each person... Some will say it's way too much and others will say it's well worth it... To each their own.

Personally, I think it's worth it because the stand has a great design with a custom snug fit and for the simple fact that we can finally have Unicron properly displayed in planet-mode witout the fear of it falling.

Until we have another and cheaper alternative with the same results, the Throne of Choas is the only choice.

Also, rumor has it that a stand for Primus is in the works. :thumb

Well the price is what people choose to pay for it. There is nothing here that says hey I am worth $35.

I can manipulate a plastic cup to hold him properly.

Like I said, have our standards gotten this low? I mean I am all for a good stand. One that can tilt down, adjust in hieght and turn. So Unicron doesn't just sit there. You can pose him where he is about to devour a planet. So he can be tilted forward and above the other planet. That is worth $35.

I will stick to a plastic cup with a cut in it for the rings for less then .10 cents.

Or if you really want to make it look real nice, do this and save like $30.

But he already has a built-in stand, his four support legs. Unless someone wanted to display him in 'orbit' or something.

I'll admit the Brownnoize Unicron stand is a bit Pricey but as its a small production run item its gonna cost more to make and best yet its made in America! hell yeah! I am keeping my preorder.

At Any rate to each there own. as for the custom one I am not very crafty and i know id screw it up.

Funny how this thread would pop up today. It just so happens I made my own stand at work today. I made mine a little taller than most others i have seen because I plan on having him displayed behind and above other figures.

I like this a lot. Probably will try this. Although currently....

This is what I do. Blank DVD holder cases are exactly the right height and size for Unicron.

the tall one is preferable if you have space. i use the short one due to lack of space plus its clear. its just as lame but at least its free.

Have you posted this to the Radicons? I'd like to see what you used, because that's really nice as well. You and Alucard are gonna save me some time and money!

    Decisions, decisison.

$0 - empty CD cases. Cons - probably not the most stable.
$14 - paper towel holder. Cons - requires manual labor & tools, stability?
$36 - brownnoize stand. Cons - most expensive option

Unless you're rocking the PoL, the Throne will be more than that right?

My POL has been crescendo-ing since June. Just waiting for the Shadow Commander and last not-Insecticon to hit. Anybody paying shipping for just the throne would pay more but I pity the fool that doesn't use POL.

I guess what's important to me is what displays unicron + minicons the best. Considering I paid $30 for some of these cons is $36 for a stand really that bad? Except I need four stands, ugh. . .

$36 ain't so bad, at least it looks strong and stable enough unlike the single pencil thin stick from unicron.com that cost $17 and doesn't really work.
