I hope someone can help me: I bought EMA Plastic Weld brand based on the Toy Polloi videos to fix some G1's and modern Transformers. I applied it the exact same way but once it cures it never forms much of a bond and falls apart. I used it generally on moving parts e.g. a door on Studio Series Bumblebee where the door hinge is held by friction cracked. Is there some alternative method or have I got a duff sample? Very frustrating, so thank you for help in advance

I'm a fan of Toy Polloi as well and I've found Plastic Weld doesn't work on all types of plastics. Recently I went about fixing some toys for my two youngest daughters and Plastic Weld didn't work whatsoever on three of the four broken dolls/figurines. I had to use Super Glue instead and that worked great for those three particular types of plastic. I'm no expert so I always attempt to use Plastic Weld first and then fall back on Super Glue if it doesn't work out. But when Plastic Weld works it works great. It's just a trial and error thing for me I've found.

Got hit with T-Wrecks and BW Megs breakage this week. Both on the same robot mode Dino kibble backpack piece that has 2 clips that hold onto the thin part of the back. Total design flaw IMHO.

T-Wrecks broke first and then when I checked out Megs to compare that one also snapped. I can replace T-Wrecks but Megs is gone from stores here.

Oh and just mention, since it always bugs me, I still cannot get the hips apart on this mold without using a thin screwdriver.

MP-1. I had the first one preordered years ago. On the first day of transformation, one of the legs popped off. Have not been able to fix him and just hate seeing him with a loose leg. Still got him in my collection though as he kicked off my MP collecting.

It takes a scary amount of force, I'm convinced if I keep transforming them, one day I'm going to snap a pin housing on the thigh joint.

Siege Wheeljack and Exhaust, bought four different times and had errors with all of them missing pieces of windshield, heads unable to fold away, shoulders not attached in package, I ended up with one good Exhaust after combining all the various ones together.

So... Is an 8-year old going to break it? I was thinking of giving my son Megatron, but he doesn't really like fiddly shell formers, and if it's gonna break as well I'll find something else.

... the issue is on the new Kingdom release, right?

That mold is really difficult to transform in some ways. If he just wants to keep it in robot mode and have you help with the transformation it'd be fine, but you gotta be pretty careful with the hips and some of the panels when transforming him. I wouldn't say it's not a good toy for him, my 4-year-old daughter plays with it just fine, but she's had LOTS of coaching and reminders to be gentle and ask for help if she needs it. She can transform ones like Siege Red Alert and Cyberverse Deluxe Arcee and other simple ones but I wouldn't expect her to handle changing BW Megatron yet. But you know your son better than I do!

Also I bought the Decepticon Mirage as I’d heard he was less fragile with the lack of transparent plastic, then his chest tab broke the second time I transformed him…

He still works ok, as friction holds the chest piece in pretty well, but was still really weird that all the clear plastic heavy figures have been fine and this one literally sheared its tab within a few minutes

I have a loose pin on my ER Snapdragon. How TF do I fix that? Is it even repairable?

Floor polish might help, depending on what you mean by "loose pin".

Like it's coming out type loose. I can push back in a bit but it'll come back out over time. I'm not that worried since I don't transform my stuff like that but still it'll be good to know what to do if something happens

Never dealt with that situation myself. Doesn't seem like floor polish would help there. Maybe @ziltama has some advice?

Same. The peg snapped inside Tracks. I used a small pin and pushed it out from the other side and glued it back. Haven't tried to mount Tracks yet.
