So I FINALLY found the GDO Cliffjumper  I was happy transformed him twice and the horn part of the car BROKE OFF  
He is now in his robot mode from now on. I have the PRID Cliffjumper so that will be for the car mode.
Am I the only one this has happened to?

 

Recently bought an original G1 Mirage on Ebay for about $80 or so....




....snapped the front piece off in the VERY FIRST STEP OF THE TRANSFORMATION! lol

luckily it was a super easy fix with some superglue. *whew*

 

I just received a MakeToys Battle Tanker MIB yesterday afternoon...got it on eBay for $94 after shipping (came with RTS Optimus, even though I already had a couple of those) When assembling it later that evening, I thought I might have put the black cod piece on wrong somehow, so I pulled it off. Instead of pulled it straight off, however, I thought I need to pull it upwards to unhinge the lower tab. As a result, the two tabs that plug into the holes on the replacement plate broke off.

I tried some epoxy, but that only resulted in making more of a mess of the cod piece (which you can see best in the pic I turned the flash on for), and causing me to spend a good 15 minutes scrubbing the gunk off of my fingers.

I e-mailed MakeToys to see if, by some miracle, I could purchase a replacement piece from them...but I'm not very optimistic.

He doesn't look bad without the piece of anything...but it is kinda necessary to store the hands in trailer mode...and it just makes him incomplete, ya know? I almost considered buying a KO version on eBay for $45-$50 after shipping, but I can't justify that for one small piece after what I just spent already.

If anybody has some suggestions, or perhaps a Battle Tanker cod piece to spare, I'd be mighty grateful.

Also, I apologize for the picture quality. It's from an HTC Evo 4G LTE, but for some reason I have very little luck getting nice pictures out of it (or maybe the camera on the phone just sucks?). I'm sure my incredibly shaky hands don't help...

 

A hinge on one of the back panels to my MP-10 broke/crumbled off. I've since repaired it, but the plastic is a little softer than the parts bot I used to repaire it. I don't think it's a widespread problem, and I didn't mishandle it as it didn't snap off like a break.

I've broken a few figures, but it's a seldom occasion due to how I treat my things.

 

with all the horror stories about breaking expensive and rare figures, I am keeping it safe by not playing with them..  

 

One of my dogs got a hold of botcon '09 thunderclash. Now he has a VERY messed up head...  

 

Nope, bought him for my son and that happened the 2nd time I transformed him. Was able to exchange it a d transformed the new one once without incident. Will be very hesitant to try it a 2nd time.

 

Also when I got the version 1 MP Rodimus both side leg panels broke off the first time I transformed him. Was able to repair it completely with superglue and eventually moved on the V2 and Hasbro more or less without incident, but that was a grail figure for me.

 

I remember when transform27 got himself a gold shield for Black Zarak, supposedly by selling off most of the high dollar items in his collection.

Then he decided to try and open it.

So this is a standard QC issue then? I would take it back I have only seen him in the wild once.

 

Yeah, mine broke too (and my Terrorcon CJ)... the nice thing is, on both of them I've found you can still transform him into Alt. Mode. The broken piece still fits seamlessly into the car mode on both! Actually it hangs on the back of the bot mode too.

 

OUCH. Classic case of WHY I would not touch BZ with a ten foot pole.

 

Masterpiece starscream (japanese) metal shoulder broke no wayto fix. : ::

 

My nephew shattered my Matrix statue a few years back. I managed to fix it with super glue...

 

The left index Finger of my MP-10 Fell off while I was playing with him in the Living Room Several Months Ago. Thankfully, in those months the Puppy either never found the piece or left it the Hell alone because I found it just this past week. Recently, the Hinges for the panels that Cover his Back Tires have started to crack.... Uh oh.

From the time I got him until just a few months ago, my MP-01 Had no Backpack. He still has no base plate.

The Wing Hinge on my Japanese MP-03 Starscream is cracked and has been that way as long as I know. I can transform him, if I do it very Carefully. Funny thing is, I don't have that problem with The American Skywarp version of that mold.

My KO Astro Magnum(G1 Shockwave Predecessor)'s Left Knee doesn't Lock into place in robot form, so to keep him standing, I use a Bent Paperclip.

Many of my G1 figures are missing most or all of their accessories. Save for Metroplex and the Mini-Vehicles. Seaspray's Right Propeller is missing a blade.

 

I know Dran0n sat on and broke the leg of his MP-01.

I haven't broken any of my important figures. Yet.

Ultra Magnus would be jealous of your nephew.

The first ISB BT-17 I bought had half its front bumper bounce loose in transit from the seller. Now it just kinda flops around in there looking all gimped.

I'm pretty sure this happens to everyone at least once.

Mine was TRU MP Rodimus... His targetmaster's gunbarrels broke with the first transformation... The still stay on firmly in either mode, but now they're reduced to "kibble."
