Great... a boy legally changes his name to a very long one concerning superheroes. What's next, somebody legally changing their name to reflect their interest in Transformers?

Yes. That is why I said that. It was kind of a joke. At least Mr. Optimus Prime is a short name and not some stupid long name that is nonsensical.

 

My friend works in social care, and he has a family called Jones, oldest kid is Luke Skywalker Jones and his younger brother is Lando Calrissian Jones.

sigh.

 

That boy is watching too much Family Guy.

 

Frankly, he gives us respectable nerds and geeks a bad name.

 

Oh that's not the craziest name I've come across. In previous jobs I've seen these REAL names:

Ronald McDonald - birth name.
Harry Potter - poor bastard.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy - changed by deed poll in 1991.
Lloyd - he changed his name by deed poll to remove his surname.

Well if the kid wants to called that then I don't see anything wrong with it. I know its a WTF moment, but to me its his decision to do so.

 

Pfft... my name change to "Bigger than John Holmes" is far better.

 

Perhaps I should just change my name to 'Better Than You.'

When I first read what that dude changed his name to, I could not help but think of that Family Guy gag.

Its quite funny IMO.

He should be a Doctor, 'Call for Captain Captain Fantastic to ER!'

 

I'd totally change my last name to Who, then get to be a doctor.
