With our first look at the 13 from "One Shall Rise Part 1" and the info. gleaned about them from the recent Exiles novel, it seems Hasbro and Prime's producers are very open to the idea of bringing the original 13 into the show in some form at some point. My question is: how would you like this to happen? Retrospective or mythical flashbacks as from "One Shall Rise"? Through the discovery of their artifacts and weapons? Evidence of them at ancient sites (such as their language)? An apparitional or physical appearance by one or some of them? A grand and epic gathering of any surviving members of the 13 for a season finale? Or should they always remain simply myths and mysteries only alluded to in stories and things the TFs say?

Personally, I think i'd like to see some of the various artifacts of the 13 first. Their potential powers and data could play a part in episodes that they are discovered in. The Autobots could gradually collect and piece together evidence of the 13's existence and from their findings begin to construct the real story of the 13.

And it would be a criminally lost opportunity if the Fallen does not pose a threat at some point!

Interesting thought. In response to your questions:

2. HELL YES! Especially if we ever see the Prime crew go out into space.

4. What exactly do you mean? Are we talking force ghosts where it's their spark coming back from beyond the grave or is it just a computer program that appears in their form?

6. Maybe some of them. However I think ones like Liege Maximo and The Fallen should become antagonists at some point. Seeing some of Nexus's component bots would be nice too.

 

I would prefer the 13 stay in the historical records, not become characters on TFP, except for the occasional flashback for story arcs.

Both of those are workable ideas. I suppose I was thinking something like Vector Prime travelling through time and space and appearing in the Prime universe, or holographic projections such as Solus's from her tomb in Exiles.

 

Prime already visited Solus so I doubt she'd appear in that manner.

Vector Prime showing up is an interesting possibility though. I just wonder how they'd play it. He can travel through time so he could very easily become a Deus Ex Machina unless they put some limits on his powers.

 

If they wanted to bring up Solus, I suppose she could be referenced as the maker of many of the artifacts. And some of those might provide a link to her in some way.

I wouldn't imagine Vector Prime wanting to get involved in anything unless he thought it was necessary and important, and even then, he'd probabaly try to keep his 'interference' to a minimum. He's a watcher more than an active force apparently. So say if the Fallen was about to rise, he might see reason to get involved again.

 

How about Team Prime finding another Data Cylinder (like the one that zapped Bulkhead in T.M.I.) that contains some information related to the Thirteen?

 

If that happens, I'd rather have it appearing as, say, trapped in a meteor that falls to Earth, rather than yet another artifact found on Earth.

 

Meteors sound like a potential way to bring in things related to the 13. And it would be kinda cool if it turned out later that the meteor(s) arriving on Earth was not coincidental. Maybe one of the surviving 13 might have sent it to Earth for a purpose. Could be a way for Vector Prime to get a message to Earth without getting directly involved in Autobot and Decepticon affairs for example.

 

Considering that the Fallen is apparently getting a toy at some point, I would be surprised if he didn't show up in the show too.

Would be nice to see some of the others get involved with the current happenings, but some more flashbacks would be nice too. Just as long as they work with the story that is.

The more they get involved, the more likely they are to get toys, which would be great, imho.

 

Maybe the Primes will appear as a vision to Optimus from inside the Matrix. Maybe they'll be the ones to teach him what it means to be a Prime and he'll

Be careful about spoilers. Some people may not have watched part 3 of the season finale eps. yet.

But you raise an idea there about some of the 13 aiding Optimus. It could be kinda cool if Alpha Trion left something with Optimus a long time ago that he later finds useful.

 

in transformers prime flasbacks it has mentioned that optimus is the last of the primes and they have also mentioned that some (if not all) of 13 were primes and that they are all dead now. im not sure but I think the flashback implies that they all survive there battle with unicron so there demise must have been after most likely in the great war or maybe the fallens betrayal but this could be explored further which could interesting and really tragic tale.

I love all the subtle ways people are suggesting they be introduced and I agree that liege maximo and the fallen have the highest chances of making the physical appearance as antagonists as if they make them mimic there behaviour in other fiction. liege maximo was a recluse with divine ambition and the fallen was imprisoned for betrayal so both could have been easily wrongly assumed to be dead. If they do physically make an appearance I hope its not for a while yet to break up the storylines being overly filled with transformers mythology and potentially damage any mystic they currently have

 

All of the 13 are Primes in TFP continuity, and nobody ever said they're all dead (that I remember). Oh, some of them are, the 13 aren't indestructible after all, but there are certainly some left. I personally think there's no chance in hell we're going to end this series without seeing Prima (the first and the leader of the 13).

 

This. I don't think the "13" SHOULD show up - I'd prefer that they stay as myths/legends.

I would like to see some decent sized flashbacks that explore what they were like and explain further their roles, I like the idea that the main characters finding artifacts relaing to them would lead to flashbacks explaining part of their story.

 

I was thinking of that as well. I'd like to see them help him out in some shape or form in that scenario.

 

The 13? I'm loving their level of involvement in Exiles. It would be nice if they become involved in Prime at all for them to have that level of interaction - low key, references and myths.

I would like to see The Fallen show up at some point, but I'd also like to see the Liege Maximo or one of the others get some play. But my general feeling is that we don't need the 13 to take over the series - that's always the risk once you throw in a cosmic level character, either the whole plot goes onto a larger cosmic stage and they take over, or they end up being underwhelming and you're left thinking "that's it?"

Much like I would rather the story of the 13 be left untold, with only the occasional myth coming up when needed, I would also like the 13 themselves to remain hidden in the pages of those myths and legends.
