I mean... it sounds competently arranged? I like how it sounds, but I don't think it'll stick with me.

Much like the movie it's featured in, it seems... if what I'm hearing about it is to be believed.

I never liked Brian Tyler as a composer and I'm really not impressed by this score, especially at 3:54 where he transposes a motif from the TFP soundtrack because... why exactly?

This movie has nothing to do with that show, they're two completely separate continuities. It comes across as so lazy and pandering. In a actually good film made by people who care, music is meant to enhance the intended beats the story is going for, not just jangle keys for dumb audience members to type "MEMBER TFP!!!! I MEMBER!!!"

    Angry for no reason.

How does it possibly hurt to have an homage to a previous TF theme in A TF MOVIE?

99% of viewers aren't going to notice it, but for that 1% it's a little easter egg.

I'm not angry and I'm not against homages when they're purposeful. I'll ask again, what is the point of using the TFP theme here? It reminds me of the Arrival to Earth theme being reused in RotB for no reason.

But whatever, don't ask questions. Just consume product and get excited for next product.

    I liked it well enough.

The reference is fine and (probably) there to reference his prior work on the franchise which also, based on my quick googling, got him nominated for a Primetime Emmy. It's such a weird thing to get hung up on, especially for a franchise that mines an 80s cartoon/toy commercial to this day.

I’d hope you’d watch the movie before forming an opinion.

It isn’t used like that in the movie at all. It has a very specific purpose and it makes complete sense in context.

Jablonsky also payed homage to Tyler's score in Age of Extinction.

    At the 1:10 mark.

I don't know about that, that part sounds more like a callback to the "more than meets the eye" part of the OG G1 jingle to me, and for an origin story I think it's fair game to homage the show that started it all.

    Isn't this used when
they come face to face with all the dead Primes?

    I think it's rather fitting.

It was cool to hear the OG theme but it\'s a debacle to hear prime? I don\'t understand people sometimes

The score is probably going to be the best part of this film, it has always been one of the strongest aspects of the other TF films.

Eh... the instrumentation's pretty good but nothing very interesting or memorable here. I'm not a big fan of Brian Tyler but he's usually at least good at writing a fun, hummable main theme that'll really stick in your head, and if the 'main theme' track is this meh it doesn't give me high hopes for the rest of the score. Probably going to turn out like most of his work... not bad but not nearly worth the trouble of downloading or the space it'll take up on my phone either.

Some of you just love to complain about anything.

It's not the end of the world that for a few second Brian homages his previous TF score he did.

This sucked. I have to presume the only reason his work on Mario movie was good was because Nintendo force-fed him good pre-existing material, but this felt so generic and bare that it resembled the generic "epic" songs the local catholic radio plays before their sermons.

    Nope. Not my taste.

Seems like all soundtracks sound so similar anymore: reminds me of Godzilla x Kong.
