Finally!! Unfortunately this one figure took about 6 months..I dont know why...it just did. The rear of the alt mode/ robot torso is from an RID prowl figure, while the entire front end of the car/ shins and knees were sculpted over universe prowl sections of front fender. He has a red decepticon symbol, just how I like it (and he's not shattered glass). The paintings sloppy in some areas, as its been nothing but a pain trying to paint recently, plus me not being very good at painting..lol. Painted with enamels, acrylics, and finished with future. Heres the WIP thread for this figure, so you can see the amount of changes Ive made lol. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/295888-bigger-brakedown-wip.html Thanks for looking.
sepctacular !!! one of the if no the best breakdowns ever the buid is pure genius , but the paint apps does need more lovin' the head is from which figure? cybertron ss?
Thanks, yeah the head is from cybertron ss with the 'ears' taken down... The painting was just horrible, its really humid here and its been raining non stop..also the fact that most of the sculpted parts arent fully smooth means the lines are never really actually sharp when painted onto the apoxie sculpt (I never thought about that before).
The engineering on this is fantastic man, i'm scratching my head trying to figure out how you did this. Just incredible dude!
Nice use of parts. I like what you've done here. Is the head removable or does it hide when transformed. The only drawback for me is the paint. It's the high humidity that makes it look that way. Next time wait until the humidity is lower before you paint. Overall, nice job.
Unfortunately here in Miami the humidity is always high...sigh...the constant rain has made it worse... Also theres no parts forming whatsoever, everything folds or hides somewhere
If you work indoors, you could get a dehumidifier. Unfortunately Floriday usually has that nasty weather. It just looked to me that in a couple of the pics that the head might have come off when transformed.
While randomly digging through some slightly older threads, I saw that I overlooked this dandy. I had followed the wip thread for so long, but missed out on how awesome this bot turned out
