When us fans look back on Breakdown, we'll think of wasted potential. Prime's haters look at his death as one of their foremost pieces of evidence that the series is a failure, and Prime's defenders admit that this was a really poor moment.

Breakdown had 2 plot points attached to him before his death - his history with Bulkhead and Starscream's ultimatum to him at the end of 'Operation: Breakdown' (make a chose between him and Megatron as leader). But, he was killed by Arachnid before either was giving a proper conclusion.

So, the question is what were you more disappointed to see being dropped?
Personally, I was more interested in the whole Starscream thing.

I'm more interested in lore as a general rule, so I vote "His history with Bulkhead."

For me it would of been both. History to explore both Breakdown and Bulkhead more, character development is always good to see. As for the other, it might add an interesting twist for later in the season.

But ultimately we'll never know how it would of worked out.

In a manner of what CAN be addressed realistically as far as the show goes, "History". Let's face it: his dilemma with Starscream is deader than he is at this point. Starscream no longer wishes to turn against Megatron and really there's no way that Screamer can try to call up on that favor now. If it gets brought up at all, it's going to feel pointless... considering the last we saw of Starscream he was mourning Megatron's death.

However, given that both Bulkhead and Knock Out are alive, they can still bring up the history between those two by using either Bulk or KO. It won't mean as much in the movie or now than it would for BD if he were still alive, but between the two, that's the more realistic possibility for us to get, and so I put my vote with that.

And truly, that interests me more right now, even if you throw logic out the window.

His history with Bulkhead, definitely. Breakdown seemed like a decent enough fellow, for a Decepticon, and not one to come up with any devious plots or anything (rather he'd simply follow others' plots), so you can't help but wonder just what did he do to piss off Bulkhead so bad.

History, but I don't think it was bad that they killed him off before any of those plot threads got explored more.
Both of them where presented in a very clishé manner and not going down that road and being all predictable by having him turn good or something is always welcome.

I mean I literally groaned when Starscream gave his ultimatum, I already pictured what would happen, he'd have been conflicted and first trying to help Megatron, then turn on him and help Starscream just to then help Megatron again and then he would have joined the Autobots after he realized that both SS and Megs hated him, just to then die heroically.

So him dying the way he did, was actually refreshing and surprising.

It happened at the end of Operation Breakdown.

History. Because like Breakdown really owns Starscream squat.

That's some really weak justification. "It's good that they killed him off because they could have done this!" Except it could have gone an infinite amount of ways...

I want to know, what StarScream ment, when he responded to Megatron about Breakdown being highly valuable for "their plans".
But here I can vote for "StarScream" as well. That I do.

As for his history with BulkHead: the hoi- polloi is an Autobot, which means that anything can be an "unbelievable crime against the whole population".
You can be hurt, and if you drip a drop of your blood somewhere, they'll accuse of "making a trace for your men to follow", or trying to cause an epidemic, or else.
