Got to finish some more customs during the extended shelter in place here in the SF Bay Area. Here's a set of Hasbro Legends Minibot cars repainted into the Malignus faction of figures that were produced by Brazilian toy company Estrela in the 80's. Pretty obscure so I don't think Hasbro or Takara will be making these repaints anytime soon. I printed the Malignus faction symbols from my color printer onto label paper. Some wild colors from South America: Malignus Pick-Up, their version of Gears. The wine/maroon version was repainted from Generations Swerve with a bit of milliput "green stuff" putty for the faceplace. The green/purple version looks like a lost member of the Constructicons. Malignus Camaro, their version of Windcharger. The metallic blue/yellow was originally a custom Micromaster Roadhandler from POTP Windcharger with a new head from shapeways, but once the Siege version of Roadhandler came out I repurposed him into Camaro. The pink/purple version has a g1 toy head from Prize Inside by the Octavirate Forge on shapeways.com Malignus Jipe, their version of Brawn. Theyare both repainted from Titans Return Brawn and have g1 toy heads from Octavirate Forge on shapeways.com. Weapon is from a Dr. Wu kit Here's what the original toys looked like, I'll make the Optimus faction (the repainted Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Bumper) of Volks, Carrera and Sedan someday!
ITS CAMARO!!! Everyones favorite misnamed pink brazilian malignus! No? maybe just mine then. These are really good I wish hasbro would make these.
Bitchin' Camaros. (And I've always loved these guys, especially Constructicon Gears and Black Brawn.)
Thanks! The purple paint I used for the green/purple Gears and black/purple Brawn is Tamiya acrylic X-16 purple, it comes out darker than what the cap color would suggest. The purple on the pink/purple Windcharger is Gunze Sangyo Aqueous Hobby Color H-35 Cobalt Blue paint. Hope that helps!
As a Brazillian collector I say: that's a STELLAR WORK! Really outstanding and bring me a special nostalgic feeling. Such vibrant colors! Again, amazing work Sir!!!
