I have hacked into a lot of toys new and old, but for some strange reason I am a lil nervous about hacking into my Hench. But I want this look sooooo bad.

    Now that's ambitious! :thumb
I had considered the same, but my plans required metal pins and sliding channels to achieve a compact, tightly-fitting robot mode...
Otherwise, he'd be too back-heavy and wouldn't stand up very well.
How did you address the problem?

Like many "Hench," I see yours came with the legs reversed.
He stands slightly better with the exhaust pipe heels on the inside, and the ankles rotated slightly outward.

Yeah I'm quite interested to see more of this hinge you've mentioned. The mod is something I quite want to do, but I'm not a big fan of partsforming if it can be helped.

Thanks man bud.And congratulations to you and your girl !!!!!!!!!!!

It's really not that hard.It took me about 30 minutes to do.

Thanks.couldn't have done it without yours!!!!!!

I did have the back heavy problem at first because I didn't cut enough of the orange back screw post. But after cutting it down it allowed the hinge to rotate 180 so that it folds down almost flat on his back and no more back heavy problems.

    Thanks guys!!!!!!

I hope the pics help. The hinge is from the Skyhammer mold. It's the middle part of his wing assembly just cut to fit into Brawns back.

    Igear

Here's what it looks like from the side.He does have a little backpack but not much.I like it myself

Here's the hinge in the up position (stock look)

Here it is in the down position (mod look)

Here's a shot of the hinge attached to the truck part

And A shot of it fit into his back

I hope these help and feel free to ask any questions

I'm with you. I like the look but there are WAY too many cuts going on for my comfort.

Ah that's because it's a two-pack with Igear's UFO (Cosmos homage). They used to sell Hench and UFO separately, but I guess Hench was more popular so they bunged em together and forced people to get both. Not a problem for me since I need both for my collection, but if you're just after Hench you might want to ask around and see if anyone's interested in taking UFO.

Though tell me you don't wanna own that chunk of neon plastic just a little :D

I got mine from robot kingdom robotkingdom.com -- Online Toys Company

After shipping it came to $43 and only took 4 days to get here.

Same here except with BBTS...and it only took 2 days, but I live like 45 min away from them lol.

I really like this mod, but I too am a part of the group not ready to start cutting on this guy just yet.
I love the reduction of the head kibble, but it seems like this mod adds a bit of butt kibble to offset it.
You did good work with it though!

    Where I'm at.

Great idea and love the mod. But I don't have the skill, tools, or balls to do this myself.

This many cuts in such a revered figure and having it come out this bad-ass is the sign of a tru pro ;)
