On the bright side, the articulated hands seem to be a big improvement compared to Dagarn. Thumbs have an extra cut out, and the fingers all have an additional joint so you won't be stuck with typewriter hands.
Do we think the trains can store inside the back of the legs in alt mode, like on the original figure? Looking at how it transforms, I can't see how there'd be enough space. Mildly disappointing in that case. I always liked how the large train could carry the smaller ones. But figure still looks spectacular overall.
I don't see why not. DaGarn kept all of his gimmicks. I'm not seeing anything, transformation wise, that would block the lower legs. In that very last pic, in fact, it looks like thr lower legs are hollow.
The trains look too long to go in the back, besides I'm sure they would have shown it if it could. Anyone going for the Dagarn stand then? At £55 shipped it's a hard no for me but it's being made to order so have to make a decision now.
A big NO for me for the Dagarn display stand & new head sculpt piece. Might as well I used that funds for the Brave Express team
Yeah I ordered one, partially out of fomo. Definitely too pricy for what it is, but I think it'll do alot for long term stability. The new chromed out pieces are a nice touch and I'm a sucker for stands with hidden compartments.
Are you talking about the single tail fin on Might Wing? Yes, how unforgivable. But the other 99% of the transformation is fully integrated, so I'll take it. Certainly fewer extra parts than most Transformer combiners these days. Also, down to ¥20,495 before shipping on Amazon Japan (for people who live outside the country and don't pay domestic tax). Will it go below 20k??
Yes, to me it's absolutely unforgivable. It would have been super easy to hide for any good engineer out there. After all the issues with Da-Garn and Ga-Orn, this is nothing but another proof they're just lazy or don't really care.
It has a small, fold-out tail fin. The additional piece is the anime-accurate fin. I don't think it can fit inside because it would occupy the same space as the fist.
The fin is a bit odd man out given everything else that they've achieved with this but it's far from a deal breaker for me.
The partsforming fin piece doesn't really bother me. What does bother me is this tab. Is it really just there for Gaine's crotch piece to tab in to, and does Might Wing only have it for the sake of both arms looking symmetrical? I would've much preferred a less stable Gaine if it meant Might Gaine could get some cleaner looking arms.
That was a hell of a thing to wake up to! Was expecting Exkaiser to be first really. At least it's a few months apart from Might Gaine. Looks great from what I can see but the devil is in the details with this design as anyone who owned the CMs one found out.
Till this day I still don't understand what's Gaofar alt mode is supposed to be? Looks like he's doing an extreme yoga pose lol
It's just a jet, thing. No worse then some cybertronian altmodes that spring to mind. Oh no complaints here, GFG was my most wanted of Bandai's announcements, I was just surprised to see it be first out. Thanks for all those extra pictures, the transformation details look really good, can't see anything that looks like it cheats at all and they even got the little details like the fins on the thighs and the opening cockpit. My only remaining wish is that they've made removing the engines from the Liner Gao II quick/simple and that does look like it is the case from what I can see. Looks like you just slide off the whole end cap with all of the engines attached as one piece.
