I didnt like how many hinges were in the partforming chest/shoulders unit. That was horrible.

 

That was definitely a part that I didn't enjoy. My fingertips we're sore from having to push them all together too

 

Mine came apart at the waist every time I picked it up, had to use some nail varnish on it.

 

I'm part way through assembling mine. Had to press those chest hinges against a hard tabletop to pop them together. My soft fingertips weren't going to cut it.

 

Gotta sacrifice those fingies for your figures

Huh i thought they were one set.... kinda expensive. And style wont fit with the other minipla Braves. Im gonna have to pass.

 

Likewise, these alternative destiny sets are very well done but it seems like they're meant to be stand alone display pieces and I mostly collect ensembles now.

I do love the look of the Dragon Jet though.

 

Aesthetically it may not fit with anything, but I don't give a fuck. It's beautiful and I want it.

 

Not tremendously sold on the style. A little overdone and that modern "layers of geometry" style of mecha I don't get thrilled about, but it's still pretty damn cool.

The fact that Exkaiser can't transform is a bummer, though. Even if it was lots of parts-swapping it would've been cool to have the little Kaiser inside. Hell, since it's a redesign they could've changed the transformation a bit to make it more feasible.

Hopefully we'll get an anime-accurate, fully transforming one in the future.

 

I mean, the SoC is coming, so...

 

Wont be in scale with the miniplas tho. Considering how much they seem to be putting into the minipla/smp line i hope they make all leaders in anime style.

 

It's also a SOC though, not a model kit.

 

The overall aesthetics remind me of a 3rd Party TF (specifically those from MakeToys, Fans Hobby and Iron Factory) and the Pose+ GGG.

 

True that, hopefully Pose+ does make one similar (or their take) with the similar scale as their GGG.

 

Da-garn delayed until May. I don't think anyone should be too surprised by this, given China's recent covid situation.

...I just noticed that the SMP Dragon Jet/Great Exkaiser parts are P-Bandai.

Welp, fuck that garbage.

 

I'd be pleased as punch if it delayed until the end of the year so I can get my finances ready. Boo to unexpected expenses...

 

It looks nice but I want something that compliments the old Takara MP I have, and the SOC is coming so why not go for that and skip some of the work.
