The partsformer-y-ness is usually dependent on how much the animation model cheated to get a sleek look robot mode. A lot of Brave the original toys relied on brick-tastic engineering, and the animation designs cleaned up a lot of the kibble. Between those two factors, engineering a perfect transformation into a small-scale model kit is no small task. The original Draias toy fortunately had pretty decent proportions. So "all" they had to do was pretty him up just a little bit and add more articulation. Something like Duke Fire, or the heavily anime magic-ed Gaigaigar Ryus is another story entirely.
I am not looking forward to pricing on these, but can’t wait to see a breakdown on parts and components. Especially if Choryujin can separate into Hyouryu and Enryu. I need to see how that’d work.
I just noticed the opposing leg tabs on either side of the medial calfs. Will this King J-Der actually have some kind of transformation? Oh man maybe we are in for a surprise. My body is ready, but my wallet is not.
Choryujin separates, for sure. You can make out the split halves of the shoulder cabs in the pictures, plus the twinned joints under the armpits where Hyoryu and Enryu's knees will be.
