Undergating refers to when the bottom of the pieces are attached to the runners. This helps immensely in hiding nub marks since they'll be hidden between sandwiched parts. Here's an example:

Downside to undergates being, that while the sprue marks are better hidden, they're way more a pain in the ass to trim and clean up in the first place.

Most frequently, you'll see undergates used where the parts are planned to be plated, or receive some other special finish, so that the nub marks don't stick out like sore thumbs on them.

Yeah but you gotta clean up regular nubs anyhow. In fact I find them easier sometimes if they’re on a nice straight surface to just sheer it off than a gate sticking straight out. GGGG was a joy to cut out because so many of the undergates were thoughtfully placed to avoid visible nubs on key areas.

The whole kit is so above and beyond the previous SMP. Perfect transformation parts and proportion-adjusting parts, everything that’s not accomplished by parts separation is done via paint, to the point where there’s only eleven stickers on the kit. (Four mole eyes, four tiny ones for the mole butts, GaiGar’s shoulders and a nice shiny one underneath the Bolting Driver) One of GGG’s heads is fully painted, the other a mix of parts separation and paint. It’s incredibly detailed to the point where a straight build yields nearly flawless results.

It’s also really great to finally have a decent figure of Genesis GaiGar that’s the proper colours.

    Anyone know their Brave prices?

I have a boxed Fighbird and a boxed Granbird (Sonokong editions), both in great condition.

No room for them anymore but no idea what to price them at.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi,
I bought a set of fighbird, granbird, and draias boxed for about 330 earlier this year. I’d say fighbird and granbird though you can probably push for 100-150 ea on eBay

I think I'm going to keep my eye on these Moderoid kits. I saw a review for the Raijin-oh and it seemed pretty decent

I really wish you could just download the instructions for this and buy all the parts seperately

I wish I had a better camera so I could take more pics of this guy. I also wish this thing had a better stand peg hole because the one in the crotch is too shallow and too far forward.

I need something secure because of how back-heavy he is. Plus if I want to post him with the Bolting Driver the balance really gets awkward.
