Yep, they're ML stands. My brother collects Marvel figures, but he already had more of the stands than he needed so I had them. They're great for making flying characters hover, though sometimes they aren't easy to balance on there.
As predicted, a DX version of the Betterman style core for GGG from CM's, http://www.toysdaily.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=44632 Also has the upcoming GFG's shoulders but no new pics of that toy unfortunately.
No, definately right korea, but obviously wrong places. If anyone can supply with informtion leading to the capture of giant bruticuses, they may have a spare for cost price.
I had a poor quality knock off of this once upon a time which I got from Tescos for about £15 in 1995 !
Too bad Sonokong's version of Ganbaruger doesn't have any metallic gold. Really put me off in grabbing him
Next time I talk with him, I'll ask him exactly where he got him from and hopefully you'll know the place. Last time I spoke with him he had some interresting info -
Hopefully waaayyy sooner that that. That email was about a week ago so he should be emailing me anyday now. He wont retunt to ebay until sometme in July. Will definitaly let you guys know when he returns incase anyone misses him. Cheapest Brave seller evar and would hate to see anyone miss out on the deals. $15 misb Goldion Hammers my gawd!!
Me too! Still got it, one of the legs falls off and the posts on the smaller weapons are broken, but the robot is still all there. It's what inspired me to track down the real thing when I finally learned what it was a few years back. Well worth it too.
Yeah, Goutiger's legs extend far more smoothly, the ratchets on Macheagle don't feel anywhere near as brittle, and everything feels generally sturdier. I found the KO to be alright though, I've owned worse (once had a Sky Garry KO that may as well have been made from washing up liquid bottle plastic!)
Thanks! Today I've got another Brave series for you. This one has to be one of my favourites overall, the designs are so well done and very imaginative. The third Brave show, Brave of Legend Da Garn, takes a different angle to its immediate predacessors. This time, the Braves are spirits of the Earth rather than benevolent aliens from outer space. The spirit of the Earth itself entrusts a boy named Seiji with the role of first finding and then leading the Braves against the aliens coming to Earth, intent on conquering it and bleeding it dry of its lifeforce. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/GarnVehicle.jpg Da Garn is the first of the Braves to be awakened. His Brave stone fused with a nearby police car, which leads to some comedy when he rushes off on a mission, leaving the officer who owns the car wondering what happened to it on more than one occasion. His main weapon is his Garn Magnum, a powerful laser weapon that can blow away many weaker enemies with a single shot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/EarthVehicles.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/DaGarnJet.jpg Da Garn's support vehicles are the Earth Jet and Earth Liner, which can merge into a larger, more powerful vehicle. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/GoOrn.jpg Da Garn merges with the Earth Jet and Earth Liner to form Da Garn X, a roobt with loads of powerful attacks. His Da Garn blade makes short work of most armour, and when that fails, the pods on the sides of his legs detach to form the Earth Cannon. In extreme situations, his chest opens exposing the central jewel, and he fires off a massive burst of energy that completely drains him. It also blasts clear of Earth's atmosphere, trailing into space. The other robot pictured is Ga Orn (beast mode linked below main picture). A mighty lion, he shows up mid-series after Seiji finds him frozen in ice. The bird, incidentally, doesn't serve any function beyond being there in stock footage transformations. Ga Orn is patterned after a Native American warrior, with warpaint on his face, as well as wielding a tomahawk as his main weapon in the series. He can also use a version of the big gun the Great form uses. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/DaGarnGuns.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/DaGarn.jpg Here they are again, with their different weapons deployed. Great Da Garn GX, formed by Da Garn X merging with Ga Orn. His main weapon is the awesome GX buster, which you can see there mounted on his shoulder. In the show, though, the GX Buster was a handheld (though very big) gun, and it could also combine with the two parts the opposite way round, which the toy cannot replicate, unfortunately. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/SabersVehicle.jpg The Sabers - Jumbo Saber, Shuttle Saber and Jet Saber (Hawk Saber also shown in the alt mode pic) - are the next Braves to be found by Seiji. Each of them takes on the form of a different flight machine. Alone they're pretty powerful, but together... ... they form the mighty Sky Saber! To his right, you've got Hawk Saber in robot mode. Sky Saber is a first in the Brave series - he is the first Brave to die and be resurrected. Other Braves are destroyed, but only toward the end of the series and never to return. Sky Saber changes that, by returning and as a bonus coming back more powerful! That's where Brave #9, Hawk Saber comes in. Pegasus Saber. The ultimate combination of all four Sabers, and arguably the most innovative and original cobined robot form ever. I really like this design, since it embodies the whole point of a power-up combination - rather than merely adding new armour to Sky Saber, Hawk Saber unlocks a whole new combined mode! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/LandersVehicle.jpg The Landers are the last of the intial Braves to be introduced in the show. Big Lander, in the back, is a big rig with a trailer that holds the other three. In front, it's Drill Lander, Mach Lander, and Dash Lander. They're workers, and have a much rougher way of speaking than the other Braves, but they are tough and reliable fighters who'll give their all to protect the Earth. Combined, they form Land Bison, a mighty warrior whose Land Cannon can devastate many opponents. He's tough, like the guys who form him. In this mode, he can use the ramp from Big Lander's trailer as a shield, as well as the Lander's other handguns combined as a larger rifle. He can also attach the trailer itself to his back, although I prefer to leave it to one side. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Truck.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Tank.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Puma.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Jet.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Griffin.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/7Boat.jpg Seven Changer is an interesting one, both story-wise and toy-wise. As a toy, he is ambitious - seven modes out of a fairly small toy, about half of them work okay, the rest are passable in my opinion. On the show, he's very important - Yancha, the last survivor of a dying race, was sent to Earth by his father in the hope that he might survive and under Earth's yellow sun... wait, wrong guy. Superman comparisons aside, Yancha and Seven Changer are the last survivor and guardian Brave of a previous world that the villains attacked and destroyed, and they came to Earth initially working with the bad guys, but with the end goal of stopping Earth sharing a similar fate. It is Seven Changer who kills Sky Saber, which keeps him and Yancha at odds with Seiji and his team until very late in the series. In the end, Seven Changer proves himself to be a true hero when he goes down fighting Redlone's Red Geist. The villains, then. Yancha, as covered above, appears around about episode 15 or so. The first ten episodes focus on the villainy of Redlone, who uses mecha to do his dirty work. The mecha he sends in culminate in a huge machine the size of the SDF Macross! He's no fool either, figuring out that the best time to attack the Braves is during their combination sequences! But alas, he fails and pays the price. Dantyou / Debutcho is another villain, arriving in the wake of Redlone's defeat. He seems innocent enough, a bald migit ringmaster, but he can mutate into a hulking great green monster. His specialism is in genetics, and so many of his servants are mutated monsters - for example, one of his creations is a rabbit that eats cloth, with the goal of unmasking Seiji (who wears a costume when he goes into battle). Pink is a further opponent. I've not seen her in action as of yet, but she seems to prefer female mecha. Toward the end of the series, the big shock is the return of many seemingly defeated opponents, including Redlone. This time, though, he goes for broke with his own mock-Brave robot, Red Geist, which is a red repaint of Dezaras in the toy. He does use the Breastmaster feature, but not as a gun or a beast - he uses it as a jet! Red Geist is not to be sneered at, and in the last episodes he proves to be beyond formidable as an opponent. The other one who deserves mention is Orobolos, the leader of all the villains. Rarely seen until the end of the series, he presents Great Da Garn GX with the hardest battle of all. From what I gather, he's like Black Noa in Might Gaine, working through agents all series long and merely appearing in person for the last battles.
I just won a mislisted Eldoran Ganbaruger (this guy: http://mamao2.cside.com/contents/toys/eldran/ganbaruger/ganbaruger.html, but the version with chromed bits) on Yahoo Auctions Japan for 3200 yen. Should be 60-70 bucks including middleman fees and shipping. Toy has some chrome wear, no box, but is complete and has the instruction sheets. Good deal?
