The only thing that comes to mind:

    - MP Transformers (Too expensive and fragile. Just sticking with Generations, and G1 - Car Robots)
    - Star Wars Vintage Collection 3 3/4" figures (I've moved onto collecting 6" Black Series)
    - Gentle Giant Jumbo Star Wars figures (Way too expensive for glorified bath toys)

I feel the same way regarding Marvel Legends. I've never collected the line but have owned a few BAFs and non human figures over the last decade +. I currently don't own any but I'd hold onto the Nimrod figure if i owned it. It's a unique design that would integrate into many lines and scales.

I've seen them and , while quality in appearance , it's the same old same old just like WWE.

I'd take something like.....1980's WWE Hasbro (updated) as an example of character variety. I'm not someone that prefers the 80's wrestlers so much as someone that prefers gaudiness / spectacle in my wrestlers lol.

This is a tricky question. There are a lot of lines I’m essentially idling on - MP TF, Marvel and DC 6in eg where I’m mainly swapping out new versions with some occasional adds because I’m close to completion.

I did stop buying lego sets for minifigures which essentially cut out my superhero line purchases. I also sold off my SHF power Rangers, but I might get a Mezco or two.

basically, I’m trying to focus on modern representation of toys/properties I have nostalgia for, so that means limiting my purchases on newer properties unless I really like them (I have a small smattering of Stranger Things, GoT, etc items).

also, as noted elsewhere, really trying to limit duplicating items in different scales. Either 1/12 or 1/6, but not both unless they’re different versions.

My active collections are Transfomers, Power Rangers/Super Sentai and baseball cards.

My semi-active collections are Gobots, Brave Series and LEGO (meaning I'll snag something occasionally as it suits my fancy).

My inactive collections are GIJoe, 6-inch super heroes and Voltron, the latter primarily due to lack of product. I've pretty much disavowed Star Wars after selling off my entire Power of the Force Collection years ago.

I've basically stopped collecting everything. The "adult collectible" type transforming toys have just gotten too complicated and fiddly for me to want to deal with anymore - everything is about articulation and cartoon accuracy now, and there's no effort to make the products fun.

I'll still collect some HMR toys, especially if they ever release the last couple Macross destroids.

Grand Champions-I no longer have shelf space for bigger horses.

Breyers-Ditto above. Plus, although I have shelf space for the stablemate sized ones, it suddenly occurred to me what a pain in the ass it would be, for when I may hafta move such delicate figures and keep the damn things from getting broken.

Amiibo- I didn't grow up with them, but I'm rather fed up with Nintendo's bullshit scarcity game.

    Hell yes lol.

If I could obtain these easily or even find them I'd buy a few at least. This coming from someone that has near zero interest in figures over 4"" tall (and prefers smaller scales). I actually like them better than MOTU Origins which I like as well.

The wwe motu figures hit all of the right notes. Exaggeration. Spectacle. Nostalgia. Articulation. Non pretentiousness. Fun toy aesthetics. Sporting competition. A lack of modern military influence (which I don't hate but....dudes with guns, bullet proof vests and BDUs has been beaten to death).

*flashes on the grin the Clamp Champ figure has on one of his heads*

    Awesome ridiculousness :D

I have a small representation of my childhood favs in my office, but I am currently only collecting TFs (main line and the occasional 3p) and MOTU origins.
no Joes. I can’t hang with the scale as pretty as they are (and they are impossible to find)
No new MOTU lines other than origins unless something truly catches my eye.
I have a damn near complete run of 200x packed up getting closer and closer to being sold. The prices are going up and the dust on those bins is getting kind of thick.
Only so much space and money I guess.

I'm a huge Kamen Rider fan but I'm sick of the hassle trying to get SS Figuarts. I have missed every pre-order since Den-O. I don't even want to think of how much Black is going to cost assuming any domestic sellers even get one. I've already cancelled all my open pre-orders for other items in disgust.

Also increasingly losing interest in diecast car collecting, that community is fucking trash. I'll still keep up with Tomicas and Mini GT, but I'm not going out of my way for anything else.

Sorry if this turned into a rant but I needed some place to vent.

I mean, eknight has Black preorders open currently and have for some time. BBTS had TaToBa and TaJaDor for the longest time, just sitting in-stock after their preorders took forever to fulfill. The only recent retail SS being a pain I recall was Ultraman Tiga, not a Rider, but don’t let me stop you from bowing out.

Is eknight USA based? I might take a chance on that Black pre-order.

    1. Star Wars: Had Hot Toys, Movie Realization, Black Series, some Lego. Sold it all.
    2. Marvel: Had Hot Toys & Mezco. Sold it all, but might have Cap/IM Hot Toys to represent.
    3. Chogokin: Loved these. SRC and SOC. Wasn't something I grew up on but just loved the toys and die cast. May get a DX Grendizer to represent.
    4. Figma/Nendoroid: They aren't making and more Legend of Zelda in these lines, so I'm "out" by default. Keeping what I have though.
    5. Non MP, TFPrime, ThreeZero Transformers: I got rid of all the mainline retail stuff. Only a few MP's and whatever Bumblebee Movie ThreeZero puts out for me now.
    6. Misc & Variants: Not really a brand, but I'm done buying random one off 'cool' stuff and got out of the variant rat race. I have enough as is and this just creates clutter.

They are, and they’re incredibly reliable, my go-to for MonsterArts for years when they were still Amazon-only.

I take back my complaint than, thanks for the heads up. Still miffed about Ultraman Tiga though.

the problem with the Ghostbusters Plasma series is that there is not a lot you can do with it. Back in the day when the RGB got into the fright feature non sense, you can tell Kenner was running out of ideas at that time.

I stopped and started alot of lines in my years of collecting.

    1. MP transformers: cost became rediculous and i was never a fan of detailless show designs.
    2. Macross: used to collect the yamato 1/48 line. Broke 2 and got fed up with them. Also the show is kinda lame.
    3. LEGO: in 2013 i rediscoved lego with the last castle, pirate and original space line and some cool star wars sets. But lego is loosing it's way, it's just not the toy line i knew as a kid. Too much licenced stuff and going too girly for lack of a better term. All the cool themes basicly stopped in 2014, with the exception for a star wars set here and there.
4.gundam Robot damashii: basicly same as MP TF, way too expensive (you can buy 4-6 1/144 hg's for the price of 1 RD) and too cartoony now
    5. Gi joe 6 inch: I bought a few to see the hype but lost interest very fast. It's not 4 inch, it doesn't have the vibe or the paysetability . It's something for casual fans.
    6. Sainy seiya myth cloth: Price became absurd and some v1's, like the poseidon and asguad guys are just as good as the remakes.

I did start some cool new stuff to compensate, but that is a story for another topic :)

Man.....soooooooo many lines I used to collect but bailed on...

Anything by Neca...they just make garbage. All my Jaegers crumbled while doing nothing but standing on the shelf!

SHFiguarts ...once they stopped doing sentai and so many of the KR and Ultraman characters became stupidly expensive exclusives....sorry, but $100+ for a 5 inch action figure that requires no engineering is just insane IMHO.

SHMonsterarts...switched my entire collection to Xplus because SHMA seems to forget the entire Showa era exists.

Wrestling, Superheroes, Star Wars and Star Trek...mostly due to budget and refocusing.

3rd party TFs...I'd still collect l, but I only do CHUG scale and they seem to have lost interest in anything other than MP or legends...

Jumbo Machinders...priced out frankly. If I buy a robot toy that costs more than my car it's likely to be smashed over my head to knock some sense into me lol.
