It is actually unhealthy to keep a lot of boxes around you. Also, they take up too much space. That said, I only keep the Voyager, Leader, and special edition boxes, and toss the rest. I only keep the cards for the Deluxes and Scouts. I find there is more than enough room to not only store the Voyager figure back in their box, but also fit in a few Deluxes in there as well. Works great for storage. Besides, those so called Deluxe and Scout boxes are essentially useless once you open them anyway.

The first movie voyager boxes annoyed the heck out of me given their weird shape. I hate that curve they had going on. The new ROTF boxes are fantastic, and much easier to stack and pack neatly and tightly.

I file the card backs (& instructions) in folders in a filing cabinet. Most U.S. boxes I cut off the back to file w/ the card backs. Japanese boxes stay intact!

Exactly This!! I may use that filing idea. Henkei and Masterpiece boxes are too bad ass to throw away.

I keep the boxes for most Store Exclusive, Voyager, & Leader figures. When it comes to Deluxes & Scouts though, I usually remove the bubble from the card & keep the cardbacks. Although, I am beginning to run out of space on the shelf in the jacket closet where I keep my boxes, so I might start looking at which ones I'm going to keep, which I might break down, or which I'll just outright toss...

I keep the Cardbacks for Deluxes, and anything else with a Back, (Legends, Scouts, Activators) and I also keep the box for Voyager or anything bigger. Twist ties and all.

Classics get tossed, Henkei I keep, Masterpiece of course stay, Vintage or course stay. I really do not collect any other lines. As space becomes an issue I will probably get rid of the bubles for Henkei.

I keep them for a few weeks, or until I get some time to clean up around the place, then the boxes have to go. I do keep cardbacks though.

    Throw them away.
The only packaging I've kept has been the Human Alliance Bumblebee's box, cause it's too pretty to throw away.

I keep boxes for all reissues and Masterpieces, plus the occasional box/card + bubble that catch my eye (Classics Dragstrip, the original Hasbro Classics boxes of the ones I've picked up, City & Shadow Commander, ML Soundwave). Everything else goes in the trash.

i've kept all of them, and i can start to understand about the whole space issue. my whole closet is clogged with them. after this thread, i am starting to consider to just keeping the backs and toss the rest of the stuff since i plan to keep also.

i look at it like this 20 years from now will the movie tfs be worth money? i think so and having the box adds value look at people that sell old g1 boxes for 5 bucks and people buy them..i'm hoping its the case with the movie line so if i can make money on the boxes i'll save them to sell later as long as i have room for them..

Like many others do, I keep the card backs and cut out the backs of boxes because they often have tech specs or cool artwork... the rest of the box gets recycled to save on space.

The card backs/ box backs get filed away with instructions.

I only save the deluxe exclusives, voyager or higher boxes.

Deluxe non exclusives get tossed in the can because I just would run out of space...

Normally I throw the boxes away. Only exception that I make is if the figure in question is a collectible. For instance, I saved the box for 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime.
