i think bots that arent in the film could be mentioned. ironhide: herp and derp are dumber than grimlock. or... prime: wheres magnus when you need him or something like that
intresting you said this I was kinda thinking the same but more along the line of Prime talking about Alpha Trion When he was taught by him or raised or what ever. or maybe something Iron hide and ratchet talking about old times how Ratchet, Wheeljack and himself where pinned down near Tripticon City with Seekers left right and centre...
In the comic adaptation, during Sam's crazed freakout in the classroom he makes a reference to an expedition by Sentinel Prime.
I would like something like that; little nods to the franchise's history are neat to me. You can't get every robot that everyone wants in every film, but throwing a few random lines in that fans will get and average moviegoers won't be distracted by (and might even spur them to look up some of this stuff on their own if they're curious) would be cool.
another example- jolt: come on sideswipe, sunstreaker would have done it! also.... derp: oh primus! devestator is bigger than omega supreme! that last one was a double whammy

No he means introduce characters into what robots are saying like Prime: Sideswipe be more like Sunstreaker!

Not only a nod to the ultimate whinerbot and ultimate attitudebot, but also a nod to both the ultimate bad-arse actor AND ultimate b-movie! I get 4 points!
