If you ask Draven a fellow Uk'er of your's he'll tell you "HELL YEAH" :rock

BotCon is actually a lot of fun if you want it to be Optimus92x

1)It's a regulat cornicopia of toys; you should be able to find whatever you want
2)It's a gathering of fellow fans and generally speaking. We (meaning the fandom) all get along great
3)It's in Hasbro's back yard so this year should be a good one

There are many other reasons, but seriously. I say a fan owes it to him/herself to at least ONCE experience BotCon. So yes, it's worth it.

Congrats on making the right choice ;)

Yes. Very much so. I've been to 3 Botcons now, and I've made a lot of really good friends there. Not to mention the dealer room and the panels. And of course the exclusives for the last 2 years have been great, especially last year's.
Plus, how many chances do you get to hang out with Peter Cullen himself?
See you there m8, just wander up to me and say hi :)

For me, yes. I'm in the U.S. though. Last year was my first and it was so much awesome I couldn't believe I was actually there until I was actually home. I really look forward to attending once again and maybe actually meeting Draven this time around. So he can promptly punch my face in. I kid, I kid. But seriously, if you can swing it, definitely attend.

I usually book with expedia.co.uk, a few months before I'm due to fly (prices seem to go up the closer you get).

Well since I live 1 hour from Lexington I thought it was worth it....However, flying over seas, hotels, meals...Hummmmmmm...besides the fact that you can meet, hangout, and maybe drink a few with fellow fans..I would say what your going to pay would make it less attractive...I would probably spend the money on something more tangible like a motorcycle, maybe a new computer...but to each his own...

Not at all, actually. I've known some of these people for 7 years now, and new friends pop up through this hobby all the time; they're spread out allover the place. The chance to get together with pretty much all of them at the same time? You can't put a value on that, m8.
