These prices are very low, people. Get real and do a search for completed items: 2007 megatron or 2006 ratchet and you will see.

The most recent magazine specifically states there will be two pairs of convention exclusives. That means four, unless math has changed in the past week. I'd guess prices will be comparable to last year. I doubt it'll be more than $200 for both sets. so about $480 if you're a member for all of the figs.

Seriously though no need to be snippy, I haven't recieved my June issue yet. So that's news to me. Guess I'll have to get a little extra $$$ in case said figures actually interest me

It's not Sunstorm. That's the only other piece I'm giving out. And no, can't PM it, I swore not to tell. But I figure a few vague hints can be allowed. :D

See, Sidecutter, it doesn't always pay to be an insider!

Speaking of the convention souveniers, will you be able to buy them with a credit card? Also do we get to know in advance or will we see them at the show?

^ Yes, you can pay by credit card. I did last year. I think the con exclusives are a surprise till the show.

So what is Alpha Trion then? An exclusive from this year, or a TF Club exclusive?

Cuz I want AT (and what would be a reasonable price?)

It's probably one of the "at show" exclusives available for purchase. We won't know for sure until we get there. If so, it will probably be sold in a 2-pack with another toy for ~ $100.

From past year's experience, your best bet for getting one at a reasonable price (should you not be able to get one at the show), would be to wait 3-4 months after the show excitement has gone down and look for one on Ebay. It won't be cheap... But it will be cheaper than trying to buy one a week after the show.

No, but it does share something with that idea. :D

    Which one in particular? :lol

I can't tell. I really wish I could, but I gave my word to a very good friend, and if I leak it, they'll A) never tell me inside stuff again and B) Probably be in big trouble with FunPub. Trust me, it's a good item. It's totally worth the surprise.

Damn, now I really am excited about this. I'm reminded of a certain other G1 character that's had a couple of translucent releases also imminent but conspicuously not in his Classics mold.

To kind of get back on topic.

I think whoever won the complete set for $815 got a deal. Whoever paid $700(?) for just the boxed set got hosed.

If anything, I figure a complete set with all exclusives should go over the $1000 mark immediately after the show this year. Last year a couple of sets came close, if not just over, and I figure the same will hold true for this year.

I think there was at least one set that hit $1000 last year.

I also think it's perfectly reasonable to exect this years to go even higher. I think these being (mostly) classic G1 characters, and being made from some very popular Classics molds are going to keep the interest and demand high on these.

So, yes, I agree that that first buyer really did get a good deal - At least compared to what I expect future buyers to have to pay!

I wouldn't call it a deal for sure until the other figures are revealed. They could be more Go-Bot characters for all we know. But looking at the comic, it's not likely.
