the mechanics were taken out and the toy is made of very cheap brittle plastic. the mincon gimmicks do work (mostly)
The produced Megazaraks didn't have the sound stuff. And they have the inferior grade plastic. BUT, at least one of the paint test shots did have the working electronics. It is also made with higher grade plastic, and higher quality paint. There are some slight color variations too: silver in palce of white, paint with the sparkly stuff added to give it a more metallic feel, more detailing on the angles, etc. The chip used for it is the one from Galvatron i.e.: "The power is mine!" Caliburn is exactly the same as as the produced version. And to answer the unasked question, I know this because I happen to be the lucky soul that owns it. My question now is, of the other two paint test shot prototypes that exist, do either of them have working electronics. And this I do not know. Hope this is of some interest to everyone!
Interesting stuff. Unsurprising, given what was going on at the time, but interesting all the same. I like the concept of Megazarak and the overall design, he looks cool.
