Awful. All of it... just awful. Shockingly bad color choices, even worse mold selections, completely cheesewad slogans splattered over several of the figures, and a backstory/concept that only the most fanwank l33t could get behind and/or think is remotely "cool". It's nothing but a grab-bag of completely random figures & characters backed with an overly obvious "we actually have no theme this year but will make one for the sake of justifying this nonsense" concept.

And I'm grateful for it. Thank you for saving me a few hundred dollars, BotCon.

    Ebay:
Tryptilock: Wasn't expecting them to essentially just make Grimlock Trypticon-- not sure how much I like that as opposed to just an Evil Grimlock. Still, as far as the toy's looks go, I could do without the bright green, but other than that Grims looks very cool.

Jazz: LOVE the various racing decals, they really make the toy. The color scheme is nice, and I'll love it, but I'm dissapointed Jazz wasn't "reverse color scheme" like Goldbug-I was fully expecting Jazz to be mostly dark blue with some stripes of white. There's no consistent paint-theme to this "Evil-Verse", now. Oh, and if Evil Hot Rod actually has a goatee, Evil Jazz should have one too.

The lack of a reverse-paintjob for Jazz is a good thing, in my opinion. Just remove the "Massacre Racing" and "Kill to Win" slogans, replace the purple 'bot symbol with a red one, and you've got a pretty good G1 Jazz homage with no evil-ness.
Now I'm gonna have to get two; one to keep original, one to alter to serve as a normal G1 Jazz homage.

Frankly now we have seen 4 out of 5 (plus one shown online auction - i hate that cybertron starscream mold btw); this set is just NOT Tempting at all (comparing to last year's 07' set)
I 'd just pass. I just can't understand the story of botcon set shortage.

Pretty glad I didn't waste the money on this set. None of them have impressed me at all. The one's that had potential all used molds I cant stand.

My guess is scalpers. I know of one local scalper, that's been bragging about how he's getting his hands on 18 sets, and how he's going to make a killing on ebay with them.

I am enjoying this set. :lol  It's batshit insane in ways I enjoy.

I love how the lead two Autobots (Prime and his right-hand-man Jazz) are so demented that they write evil slogans on themselves. And not even slick ones like Movie Barricade, but "TIL ALL ARE GONE" and "KILL TO WIN".

    *edit*

    Oh right Grimlock

Neat colours. Like the turquoise. Kind of unengaging. :/ Hopefully it'll be more vivid in person.

Glad I got mine! They look gold!

That Jazz head looks better than the original G1 version.

Jazz looks hilarious. And finally seeing the Prime cab makes me thoroughly happy that I'm not a Botcon exclusive adherent.

Not really, that's kind of childish.
