Along with Prime and Goldbug, Grimlock is "meh".

Jazz though, isn't too bad. He doesn't scream "FAIL" to me, like the first 3 do.

EDIT: Just saw the starscream toy. Add that one to the "Meh" group.

    I'm liking all so far...

I want this set but can't get one because of the freeze on the Iacon...is there anyone who has a extra box set who wants to sell me it close to cost?

Both look pretty cool, but Grimlock is the only one out of the two that I would want. He looks prett good in Trypticon's colors.

jazz's head looks too big...and tryptogrim doesnt do it for me...the only one i really dig is prime...i may just buy him on ebay (or from someone on the boards who gets a loose set) and use him as a zombie prime or something...

Eh, the new head looks great, as do the paints, but not good enough to compensate for what an utter piece of crap the Crosswise mold is.

head mold on "Goldbug" and "Autobot Jazz" look homemade, not what I would expect on a set if that cost

No wonder they are all evil, aside from Prime they all have tiny forearms.

I've already got my Primus package ordered...but I'm starting to feel the tiniest pangs of regret.

I'm trying to like the set...I really am. The only one I really like so far is Goldbug. Prime is meh. Grimlock is Trypticon, and thats not a good thing. It cheapens the characters to think Evil Grimmy = Trypticon. I like Jazz, but I like it as a Classic figure (minus the slogans), not as an evil Jazz. There were other choices they could have made to the deco to convey his "evilness", while still avoiding Crosswise-Black. They avoided the making Prime into the existing Nem. Prime by using some creativity. Although the Starscream pics arent official, so It's not confirmed that its a final deco, Like Grimlock, I dont like the Opposite Starscream = Jetfire vibe this gives off.

Dont get me wrong I'll still have these toys on my shelf (It hurts to be such a completist), but they just wont shine as brightly to me as the past 2 years sets.

I don't know if I was just spoiled by the last two sets (my first two BotCons), but these aren't grabbing me.

It just...I don't know. I'm not excited by them. I'm happy I got it, since I was going anyways, but it's not going to be the highlight of the 'con for me.

Holding out hope that the at-con exclusives will work well as Classicsverse characters. As it is, SG Jazz is just gonna be my standard Classics Jazz, done G2-comic style.

Jazz is reminding me of when Galvatron reprogrammed him in Target: 2006. He looked normal, not evil, infiltrated the Autobots and proceeded to go sickhouse on their dumb asses.

I'd LOVE to see Jazz make use of his goody-goody deco to do the same thing in the Botcon comic. :ev:

Not really big on this set, Jazz is the only one I have seen that really screams must have. Big let down compared to last year.

I'm more interested in the SDCC Classic Nemmy than this set... I guess I was expecting too much after reading about goatee-verse TFs. :(

Can someone remind me what mold megatron is using?

I'm happy about this set now that I've seen Jazz.
