I just got a text from a friend in the customizing class who said that the figure being customized is Shattered Glass BotCon Thunderclash! Thunderclash will combine with Shattered Glass Nightbeat.

 

Weeeeird? That doesn't even fit the theme this year.

 

Guess this means no Sweep  Still, I <3 my SG, so can't wait to see pics of it.

 

So in the Shatteredverse, Thunderclash must have subtle, eye-pleasing colors.  

 

Thunderclash is in the boxset this year so there is a slight/basic connection - nothing groundbreaking though.

 

ok... well this is just a bad idea I mean its a character thats in the set to start with and SG? as cool as hell SG was I think they could have at least connected it to this years set

 

i like the idea of combining thats kinda cool

 

well any energon autobot toy could do it but I dont know what night beat would want to combine with an evil ThunderClash... oh well its not like theirs really a running theme this year

 

SG Nightbeat and SG Thunderclash should both be evil.

 

Wow. For as much grief we give FunPub about future planning, this definitely hits the mark. Too bad it's one of those scenarios where it only makes sense if you were able to attend the customization class from last year as well as this year. (or at least remember who last years customization class figure was)

Too bad the customization classes have such a limited seating.

It will have a white/black/green color scheme but I don't know which parts will be which colors.

Oh and I know . . .  but that's all I know.

 

Does this mean the next club exclusive toy will be SG Thunderclash.... That seems to be the theme of the customizing class figure... Nightbeat and Overkill were both customizing class figures before they got an eventual release... Since this is SG then it kinda means it will be a club exclusive.

Actually what do they do in the customizing class, how exactly is it customized?

Never been to a botcon and all that  

 

The only thing that makes me scratch my head is that why make the customizing fig the same mold as one in the box set?

The important issue here is that the custom class figure is not a Sweep.

3rd attendee set is still a possibility/question...

 

Last year we pieced it together from the sprues, assembled, painted, and stickered the SG Nightbeat.

I am wondering what brought this figure on rather than something else. I'm guessing it will have the the same base colors as the normal Thunderclash from the set, as our nightbeats had the same colors as the original manufacturing run.

Sucks for the few of us that can't make it this year for the class, that made it last year.

 

sg nightbeat was never mass released and the club nightbeat had been shown before botcon. overkill is the only one to be turned from a class exclusive into an actual released figure
