    Last year we got, Alpha Trion/Weirdwolf and Springer/Huffer. So I would say maybe two, 2 packs.

    Personally that's the second best looking of the Botcon figures this year, after Goldbug, but yeah it's not a very "Ricochet" color scheme - maybe they didn't make it black since the original Crosswise was black?

    Fifth time's a charm, I guess. Twice at Botcon alone. But, without the signature flames, it just doesn't look like Ricochet/Stepper to me.

    Regarding free...TINSTAAFL.

    And it's more of the missed oppurtunity, than anything.

    They've never had a year where a mold wasn't repeated.

    Going by past Botcons, we've got the set and the attendee freebie (already shown), and two at-Con 2-packs (or 3-packs, if you count a Minicon). It's already pretty strongly rumored the Rodimus & Megatron w/ Minicon is one of the 2-packs- probably the larger at-Con pack, given that it contains a deluxe and a voyager. I imagine we'll have one other 2-pack that has yet to be revealed, and will likely consist of a basic and a deluxe.

    Eh, last year's set technically doesn't fall into that category. Even though they obviously had many parts in common, Thundercracker, Dirge, and Thrust were all technically different molds.

    Lamest set ever..... I appreciate the work that FP put into this, but it doesn't change the fact I can find nothing to like about this set. the perfection of 2006 it is not.

    Regarding missed oppurtunities, over at the Allspark, someone suggested a "shattered universe" Ricochet as:

    "A cool mirror universe Ricochet would have been something like yellow-orange, with black flames."

    Damn that sounds awesome.

    It's not a free figure. If you don't think the cost is included in the $300 you pay for the Primus package, you're incorrect.

    I know it's free, but this misses the mark in so many ways. Not even worth a look-up on eBay, where I'm betting a lot of these will end up.

    Huh. Not sure what I was expecting the freebie to be, but this wasn't it.

    Having said that, I think I can dig it. He's certainly not my favorite of what we've seen so far -- that honor goes to Goldbug -- but he's attractive to me. For some reason, I especially like the yellow visor.

    Rather surprised (pleasantly, of course) we're getting a Deluxe with paint apps as the attendeee freebie.

    I'm with Peaugh. Dreadwind = HAWT.

    I must agree. Not a huge fan of the Cyberjet molds, but Timelines Ricochet mk I's deco is very tasty!

    I've gotta agree. In fact, the first thing that jumped out at me is that it looks like he's a member of the Doom Patrol.

    Likely not significantly more than past FP-run BotCons:

    2005
    Box set: Deathsaurus, Ironhide, Fallback, Chromia, Dirge, Buzzclaw, Ricochet
    Freebie: Flamewar
    Add-on set 1: Ratchet, Flareup
    Add'on set 2: Virulent Clone x2

    Total = 12 (11 unique figures)

    2006
    Box set: Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Dinobot, Cheetor, Rattrap
    Freebie: Unit 2 (Tigatron)
    Add-on set 1: Megatron, Waspinator
    Add-on set 2: Laserbeak, Buzzsaw

    Total = 10

    2007
    Box set: Dreadwind, Thrust, Dirge, Thundercracker, Bugbite
    Freebie: Mirage
    Add-on set 1: Alpha Trion, Weirdwolf
    Add-on set 2: Springer, Huffer
    Count it if you want: Vector Sigma

    Total = 10 or 11

    2008
    Box set: Starscream, Optimus Prime, Jazz, Goldbug, Grimlock, Razorclaw
    Freebie: Ricochet
    Add-on set 1 (rumored): Megatron, Beardimus, unknown Mini-Con
    Add-on set 2 (no rumor, but likely given all the above): ???

    Total = 7 confirmed so far, with 1 being a Mini-Con. Likely to end up being 12 or 13, including 2 or 3 Mini-Cons.

    [EDIT: And now I see Beastbot X said essentially the same thing, just shorter.]

    Dear FP,

    Yes, please!

    Yours,
    Jarodimus

    True dat. Even though I don't think this is the best BC set ever (that's Dawn of Futures Past for me, personally), it still has some REALLY nice figs (Evilmus Prime!) and I'll love 'em all.

    Then again, ever since I started going to Botcon in '02, there hasn't been an exclusive I HAVEN'T purchased and kept to play with, so maybe I'm just easy to please. *shrug*

    Well, Ricochet looks a bit like a few of the suggestions for "evil Jazz" in that Botcon toy's thread.

    Actually it looks a little like Ric's wearing some form of Starfleet uniform to me. (oh crap, he's a red-shirt :)  )

    Hey, if I don't regret buying the '05 set, I won't regret plunking down on this. It does make me wish I was one of those people who actually liked the Crosswise mold though.

    Honestly, it's okay.

    People complained about wanting an Evil Jazz... and now you all have it.

    Honestly though.. if I can get an extra one, I'm kitbashing it into a Classics Stepper.

    So if anyone wants to get rid of one, I'll GLADLY take it off your hands.
