Why couldn't they use the head for Nosecone too? The original toy doesn't have a faceplate.

Luckily, I imagine that shapeways will have an accurate head later on.

Likely because the heads are tied to the base molds being used.

Don't bother with Shapeways... GCI or Renderform are the ones that put out toy quality parts.

Strafe and Afterburner, Scattershot still has the same head from the single release from what I see. Same Combiner head as Superion still.

I'm assuming you didn't see the big ol' hinges where they connect to the robot?

So glad I pre-ordered the Takara Version. Hasbro's version of Computron just seems lazy.

Geez. What a waste then. If I didn't like any of them I would:
    1. Repurpose the figure.
    2. Repaint the figure.
    3. Buy Takara because wuite honestly you have no life whatsoever.

If I didn't like any of them then I wouldn't buy it in the first place like a sensible person.
Option 4: Instead of wasting around $100 on a set you don't like just for some hands and feet, do the logical thing and find someone who's selling the hands and feet.

    Ebay:
Nosecone is still shit and Strafe looks like Air Raid cosplaying as Strafe.
Those who opt for the Hasbro version are going to need to do some surgery to move the combiner ports around to make Strafe and Afterburner look better. I suppose you could put Afterburner's peg on Streetwise since it's mostly hidden in robot mode.

No I got that part, and it's cool your son would get a bunch of new TFs out of it, I just can't imagine dropping that much money on something I didn't really want for the sake of a few accessories when there's a much cheaper alternative.
But if you've got the money to do it, you do you, as they say.

Now you're talking me into buying this set. Put CW Strafe's head on UW Strafe (if the white matches), and put CW Strafe's combiner peg on CW Afterburner to make his chest accurate. God this Computron thing is so frustrating!

Strafe, Afterburner and scrounge are easily the best of the set.

Agreed. In robot and combined mode they seem too disjointed. You have Strafe Scattershot and Afterburner who scream G1. Then there's Brawl and Streetwise wearing very poor Nosecone and Lightspeed costumes.

In combined mode Computron looks like he found a bad Superion costume in the back of the closet 10 minutes before the party started.

I never actually said I was buying this set at all, since the reveals anyway. What I said was all "if". The rest was an opinion on the figures.

Anyway, I may just see if someone is selling the hands and feet. But even those aren't that huge a deal, I may just buy another set of KFC Star Saber hands and paint them to match the HFGs. I'll probably buy my Son one of those clearance Silverbolts on BBTS he has enough limb bots for a second Combiner.

I just want to know how they are attaching the Cosmos repaint on the Computron arm. Any guesses?
