Let's be positive, at least Hasbro's Computron has elbows.

 

No one has been proven to be wrong. People weren't complaining about this Afterburner, they were unhappy about the one Hasbro showed on the slide, the toys box and then in the official stock photography they released and sent out.

Being proven wrong suggests that there was some speculation involved when there wasn't. Hasbro said "this is the toy" by showing the images and not saying "the actual toy will have a different head"


Really pleased this has the new head sculpt for the folks buying it. I thought it was weird that they'd gone to the trouble of taking the new wind screen from Takara's - but not the head.

 

I really prefer Hasbro Strafe's wings to Takara' s, they're almost identical to the G1 toy. Are those main leg-wings attached by a pin? If not, would it be possible to swap them onto the Takara Strafe? I realize that they're different molds, but maybe the wing connections are similar sizes?

Also, I'm really liking Hasbro' s Afterburner' s color so much better than Takara 's, except for the green canopy/eyes. I wish I could afford both sets to parts-swap.

 

There's also been some misconception about the official Technobot images. None of those were CG renders like the late CW and TR stuff. All the Computron stuff was photographs of the actual figures, meaning that Hasbro had a physical Afterburner with the new windshield and (probably mistakenly) without the new head. I mean, I'm glad to see that he's getting the new head, but don't get butthurt when people are misinformed because of Hasbro's screw-up. They're a multi-billion dollar corporation, a few online comments won't hurt them, and they don't need to be defended.

I'd need Scrounge if only to fix it with a better head... but a one Legends-class figure is not worth it. :/

I mean, Takara isn't always perfect. Sometimes we need to cut Hasbro (the father of the series?) some slack.

Out of curiosity, which bots are the originals, repaints, and retools? And how does it compare to Unite Warriors(Takara)?

 

They do not need to be bashed either. They are a corporation and therefore impartial. They don't have any vendettas against the collectors. They don't troll people with their releases. They are people doing their jobs and making toys.

And I honestly haven't seen anyone defending Hasbro. All that I have seen was more like "I like this better than the other, really."


I admit that every time I see Nosecone, I see Brawl in paint trying to be a stealthy spy and failing.

Yeah,i'm guessing Hasbro is either trying to keep things minimalist to focus all the money on titans returns and/or any other future lines...

As for Computrion, while Im picking up most of the the United Warriors Designs, I'm Gonna be a cheapo with him and go hasbro. I'm not made of gold, yah know

 

Beautifully comprehensive but sadly makes it that much harder to choose!

 

So Strafe, Afterburner, and Scattershot all have new heads.

I can live with that and save the extra $40 towards whatever Takara may still have in store.

 

Well, that's one less head to get 3D printed. Lightspeed looks kinda awkward with all the excess white, but it's not the best mold choice to begin with. Nosecone looks fine to me, and the rest look fantastic.
