Hooray for Weirdwolf and Highbrow!

Ohhhhhhhh that super long ball joint that connects the shoulders does NOT look good...

Aside from super happy with these announced figures.

 

Highbrow looks to have a similar thing going on with his shoulders.

 

Highbrow and Weirdwolf stole the show. Just great great updates of the characters. Groove I might get just to double up (I got the UW set) and the other headmasters (Mindwipe and Domey) are dope. I love the line. I just wish ApeFace got the same love. I can't believe Hasbro didn't think a triple changing headmaster wasn't worth a full mode? Triple the playability. I thought the Horrorcons would be a GIVEN.

Especially given that that seems to be the gimmick for the voyagers in this very line.

I still like the little Apeface toy though. I want one.

 

Wow that even makes me MORE mad. That make Astrotrain, Alpha Trion and Galvatron (who personally HATED headmasters) into headmasters but not Apeface or Snapdragon? Cause they are lesser known characters? I pray Takara or someone does something for that ape face head. I want to buy and support but I don't need a mini head laying around.

 

Well who knows what may come, this line has only just begone. There's likely going to be more Voyagers in later waves.

Man I hope those figures are made with quality plastic or those figures are gonna have some performance issues.

I'm disappointed that Weirdwolf/Wolfwire has the wrong head on his trading card. I suppose Chromedome will have the wrong head on his card as well.

 

So will Groove be available in stores or will he be online store exclusive like slingshot?

 

Are there any pics of Overload or was it only shown during a panel?

 

You may remember Botcon 2014's Superion silhouette in hinting at the CW line. Overlord was basically that only they had separate silhouettes of the Gigatank and Megajet flying into each other with the staff then talking about something "lording over".
Short answer, no pics; it was only shown during the panel (and not even fully.)

While a full Apeface body would've been nice, the way they executed Apeface isn't horrible and it's kind of adorable. The vehicle the titanmaster rides in actually has both of his modes which still keeps true to the original to a minor extent.

It's "May Mayhem", not "May Madness".

Basically, it was a catchy name for a promotion that included last year's "online only" (for the most part) release of Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck. Because the name was so catchy, it's used again for this year's release of Deluce Groove. Nothing particularly special about it except for a fancy name.

Groove will be available from most places online (Hasbro Toy Shop, Amazon, Target.com, Toysrus.com, Walmart.com, Kmart.com, Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, ToyWiz, TFSource, Captured Prey and a crapload of other online retailers), in most cases without a preorder. Instead, there will be a street date when every store will suddenly put up instant "in stock" listings for the figure.
