Really am I the only person that reads a thread before posting to make sure I am not just repeating almost exactly what has been said multiple times before?

On topic, I think this set looks fun I will probably pick them up but like a lot of other members I am way more hyped for the technobots.

Could this be what they use for Nosecone?

I would have liked toy accurate colours better. I worry they are all red from that 1 cgi scene. Even the little bits of purple from Ram Horn would have been nice.

The bug legs on the tank look great and the teeny drill is quite nice.

Despite the "OMG DRILL" I would've thought a UW Nosecone to have a wider drillbit.

I think people have said this before, but the upcoming CW Wheeljack (based on Breakdown) would also suit Lightspeed very well in altmode.

    Scattershot already exists, luckily.

If this Ramhorn's drill is indeed part of the mold already and not a custom part by the Club itself then Takara would basically just need a way to create Strafe (probably based on an Aerialbot) and new heads and they're all set for a Unite Computron.

I'll have to say, it becomes a much more probable idea now. Heck, at this point I'd buy a full Computron even if Strafe was just a regular jet!

I have to agree with that, but I'm not super bothered by it.

They have with Thrust's / Nacelle's wings. Also the neck piece for Scorponok.

Not that this drill is one of theirs, as they would have said it was all new. It's clearly meant for Nosecone if he ever sees release.

Random Question: If Funpub has access to a drill based combiner limb.... What if the 7th TFCC 4.0 figure is Wrecker TwinTwist to go with Impactor?

Could be but I'm not sure if they could use the same mold for Botcon and TFSS, logistically speaking that is.

If Hasbro/FunPub teamed up on the conversion it'd be a good way to get their money's worth.

Plus the timing of the 7th figure arriving on door steps would be *after* Botcon 2016. And by then I'm sure we'll know if Takara/Hasbro are going to do Computron.

So, after Ravage who was a good idea but an awful execution, and Tarantulas who was a bad idea but an excellent execution, we've got this guy... solid idea, solid execution.

Shame I'm rabidly indifferent to it overall, but it's definitely the most solid of the set thus far.

I'd be more happy with Ravage as the Deadend mold but hopefi\ully they can knock the last two outta tha park (so long as they are both not red).

Kind of how I feel. But you know, the best exclusives are those that are less "must-have" and are more "fills a hole in my collection that I wouldn't have thought needed filling BUT can live without if I have to".

Yeah, I really dig this, but am also curious about how the head will work.

I'm all for Sea Clamp as the torso, though I don't want the Hot Spot mold again, even though I really like it. The Club is also using that for their combiner too, so it feels a bit overused. Guess we'll see what happens.

eh, possibly, but i hope it's not, I'd rather see something else. I've already got a really nice Twin Twist, and what's a Twin Twist without a Top Spin?

So to further muse, you know what would make for a great attendee set of toys?

Ultra Magnaboss from Hot Spot as Prowl (can reuse both heads), Firefly as Silverbolt, and possibly Rook as Ironhide (reusing the head, as there's no good BW Ironhide headsculpt). Add two more dudes (dunno who they'd be offhand) and you have a Magnaboss with two extra limbs.

I'd like to see Powered Convoy with Kranix as a souvenir offering. Wishful thinking on my part, though.

    That should be stickied forever.

This set is just becoming intriguing enough that I may have to get it, terrible Ravage and all.

What would make a great Magnaboss is the Swordbot Shinobi Team from the Go! line. There's a lion and a bird in there already! Couldn't be that hard to explain why Ironhide reformatted into a shark. And they're a combiner so it fits that theme as well! That's how you homage Beast Wars characters. Put that in the big souvenir set, put a pre-Earth Scorponok and Terrorsaur in the small one to finish off the DOFP group, forgo the troop builder this year (since that big set is going to be $$$ big), and that will make for a must-have attendee assortment.
