How exactly do they plan to enforce that?

"We heard you were selling non-Hasbro toys in your room."
    "Well, I wasn't."
"Can we see the inside of your room to make sure?"
    "No."
"Well, we're gonna talk to the hotel management and if you were selling unlicensed toys, we'll get you removed from the hotel."
"Hahaha, yeah good luck with that buddy, are we done here?"

Pretty sure they are talking about dealers who open up their hotel rooms as stores open to the general public.

all it really will take is A the room seller posting his room sale and room number and B a Funpub or Hasbro rep checking them out plus I really think this goes towards the big online retailers who do a lot of 3rd party stuff

I think we all know who are the intended targets here (in other words, you're not wrong). Does it matter? It's STILL against any sense of reason whatsoever, and is probably illegal to enforce.

Could this also be a Louisville legal issue about unlicensed vendors, and not just Funpub and Hasbro being stupid.

I really don't see how the hotel is going to enforce this. If the hotel wants to bust someone for using a hotel room for personal/commercial business on their premises, it is going to be hard to discriminate based on this is official/this is not. Guess maybe volume? Say what you will about 3P morality/copyright/etc, I don't think there is actually any legal rulings (yet) to outlaw them. I sure as hell wouldn't take up this battle of determining who is/isn't in compliance. If nothing else, I would send security out to blanket everyone who is wandering around.

What most of you do not know is, when you sign that piece of paper at the front desk. If you read that fine print. Most of them state in 1 way or another that you will not use the room to conduct business or sell items from your room. Talked to my lawyer about this, and he said that if you book your room under the convention rate, that how and where FP has the right to say what you can and can not do.

Unless the hotel makes you sign something in agreement with fun pub with you fully aware of what your signing off on this doesn't mean diddly shit.

You bought time rented in the abode provided by the hotel.

Fun pub cant make the rules outside of their designated area of which they have rented at the hotel. Anything outside of their own rental area is frankly none of their business nor falls under any of their rules or consequences for that matter as result of breaking any fun pub convention area rules?.

Your bedroom is not part of the convention area unless something about the blocked off rooms might be under some effects of fun pub.

EDIT: See gen1fan's post above. Always make sure you read the fine print. And if all else falls sell it off site or book at a different hotel. Problem solved. But this honestly is getting out of hand. I knew something like this would happen after the guy from funpub was supposedly going around the hotel ripping down room signs for selling parties.

They can enforce it, but that's fine. Just helps solidify some ideas I've been working on anyway and means I don't need to spend any money on a room in my own city for any reason.

I felt like a drug dealer last year telling people where the "good stuff" was in St. Charles. The black market should be in full swing that weekend, just gotta know who to ask and where to look.

There's no way funfub can stop what's in a room. Unless it's the hotels policy when checking it. The hotel is not going to spend its time kicking ppl out or looking for it.
