That is the only option to get his autograph.

Stalk him. Find out where he's staying and catch him after hours when he's leaving the room for ice. :D

Lolz!!! It sucks that all of these prices are so high to be a part of the whole experience... Gotta buy a package. Gotta pay for autographs. Gotta pay for this and that... I'd have to be rich to get my whole family in to the workshops and all that. I'm glad general admission isn't a hundred bucks! Someone should tell funpub that they are too high for common folk. LOL! I'm glad I get to attend and all, but I don't care for all the extra stuff, only the bots and to be able to see what will be coming up in the future.

To be fair, general admission and autographs & pics with the guests excluding Judd are still cheaper than anywhere else.
And has Judd Nelson been a guest at a convention before? $130 for a pin, special print, professional photo, an autograph on an item of your choosing, and front row seating at his panel isn't a bad addition to registration at all.

Very true. And to be fair he will be attending the Golden Ticket meet and greet which is something they didn't do with Frank Welker, which is a plus for GT attendees.

For me though I'm not that much of a Rodimus fan to pay the extra for the VIP package. That and there are three guests that I'm far for interested in, and I don't have to pay extra to meet them and get their autographs.

Though I am looking forward to his panel, seems like the kind of guy who'd have some fun stories to tell. :D

If I could pay less to get just an autograph, I would be happy. I don't need to cut in line or get an exclusive print or a professional photo, so it looks like I regrettably will not be getting an autograph either.

it could also just be part of the deal he/his agent set... Much like with Welker. The print & pin are just nice bonuses, imo.
I'll be happy with taking pics with David, Venus, & Scott in the crowdedness of the dealer room by the steady and/or shaky hands of someone in line or volunteering, but for someone like Judd (or Welker had I opted) I would definitely want something a little more personal, professional, and less crowded.
Although I am almost equally excited for all of the guests and happy I chose GT this year! :D

If memory serves, during last year's Botcon they were trying to sell the unsold Welker VIP packages at a lower price during the show. It's possible the same thing could happen this year if it doesn't sell out.

True, the VIP price is likely to offset the costs of his appearance deal. Can't be too mad at that all things considered.

GT sounds like it'll be a blast this year, Scott McNeil and Judd Nelson in a room together, something magical is bound to happen. Though I do wonder if the GT or Custom Class figure may turn out to be Rodimus themed seeing as last year there was a Megatron for Welker.

I dunno about Judd Nelson... but Scott hangs out with random fans throughout the event even if someone tells him not to :p

You can't buy the minicon package on its own so the best option would be to become a club member ($42 which would get you the club figure this year as well) and then register as a Protoform ($210). Then there is the Judd Nelson add on for $129.

Definitely worth signing up for the membership for $42 instead of paying the non-member rate during registration.

Please don't get me wrong, I understand that these are decent prices for what you are getting, and I'm super excited for all my friends that can have the full experience. I just wish things were different in one way or another as far as the packages go. Hot rod is my favorite autobot and everything, but I'm afraid I'm gonna hafta pass on this one this time.
oh yeah, the meetup and greet is really special, I got to get to know David Kaye last year at our local convention and he is a HOOT!!! I'm glad he's coming back this year. But it was a whole lot cheaper and a little more personal. It is a smaller venue too granted thus why it is cheaper and all... But maybe I can find someone who can get an autograph on my g1 hot rod or rodimus.

    yeah, I hear ya.

we will be leaving late Thursday evening

Lol, I can't wait to meet you guys!!!
Will anyone be wearing something that has your tfw2005 screen name on it?

I will. Got myself a spot in the Thursday class and I'll be getting there on Wednesday afternoon. :)

Eh, we were all Botcon noobs at one point (last year was my first Botcon). You'll level up soon enough. :p
