Thing is, Takara made unique moulds for the remaining Coneheads's wings that weren't the Botcon ones, so your theory has no weight.

 

Wasn't trying to. Just saying Takara did their seekers irregardless of FP having already done them as Botcon exclusives. And that a similar thing could happen if FP does Sideswipe, Ratchet, or Blue Bluestreak, or any potential '84-'85 cast member as the class fig.

 

What I'm saying is to do Jazz or Ratchet they'd need the same parts Hasbro and Takara would be using for their version (head, torso etc).

So why would Funpub or Hasbro/Takara go to the trouble of making parts for a limited release if it's for a figure they were already making parts for at retail.

Hence Blue Bluestreak. It's a mold they may do as Silverstreak in a paint job exclusive to Botcon.

 

The seekers and Black Convoy are the only instances of the same characters in the same molds being redone later by Hasbro and/or Takara. Of course there's been a lot of characters redone in various forms as well. I mean we've gotten Springer, Huffer, Scourge, and Kup to name a few.

Yeah, once FunPub sells out it hardly matters. It's the people who bought the figures to speculate and sell them that would end up losing out.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Both Funpub and TakaraTomy still used the Classics Seeker mold for Thrust, Thundercracker and Dirge so while TakaraTomy may have added their own tooling, these are still figures from the same mold that were created to fill the same niche. So the point that FunPub's plans and TakaraTomy's plans are independant of each other is still there.

 

Whatre the chances of a new TM Megatron, or rather a Megatron at all to fit in with the rest of the newer BW?

 

If Hasbro/Takara are doing any sort of BW Anniversary sets (be it via Generations or otherwise) I'd say odds are very good of at least a Megatron for whatever version of Prime they do. There's four versions of each. (Bat/Croc, Ultra Class, TM, TM2/Optimal)

That includes MP, but I don't know how long it'd take Takara to do one.

 

Megatron in those colours would look pretty damn awesome.

I almost forgot about that animation they did! That would be pretty cool to see something like that done again, maybe even something Tripredacus Council related this time.

 

I think the speculation is that Alpha Trion will based off the Ravage Mold from the box set

Why would BotCon do ANOTHER Alpha Trion when they've done 2 before AND there's a new Alpha Trion coming in Titan Wars?

 

A Trio of Legends Shockwaves as Reflector would be interesting, but the figure on it's own looks damn near close enough to at least the central component to work for me.

The Perceptor idea would be pretty cool too. Shame if that's the GT version as I'd buy the hell out of a Legends Perceptor to go with Computron if the boxed set doesn't get his own.
