i really like his deco that silver looks great on the red. i think he pops more than ramhorn does.

i think this combiner is going to look odd with the torso and two limbs all matching and then two more limbs in two different colors. i'd almost like it all the limbs were this red and silver color

It comes down to what Seaclamp looks like in torso mode. If they use more black and silver on the lower half and transition to more red as you move up towards the shoulders it could work.

But that also depends on the mold they use. If it's Onslaught or Hot Spot, both have demonstrated how much the ladder/turret assembly can change a look once transformed into the chest armor.

I'm still hoping they use Cyclonus, that Galvatron chest will replicate the Cicadacon chest pretty nicely.

I can see them still doing that. Sea Clamp's a lanky dude, and they could say Cyclonus is some sort of submarine.

Was it you who previously showed a fan mode for Cyclonus that resembled a lobster?

Because I agree the torso would go a long way towards Tripredacus, but by that same token how do you get a sea-based/lobster vehicle out of a jet?

So no new heads? Just straight up repaints. That sucks.

This is the only figure in this set (excluding the other stuff) that doesn't have a new head. Plus, it's quite accurate to the show.

Ravage, Tarantulas, Ram Horn, the upcoming Sea Clamp, and Predacus all have new heads.

I just realized how they used the gap between the combiner peg and torso to simulate the red chain he wore around his neck. Well played.

So, which torso would best simulate the big collared/robe Seaclamp wore?

Or maybe this is the first figure he's seen from Botcon and hasn't seen the other threads yet?

EDIT: Apparently that is the case. Let's be a little bit less quick to jump on things guys, we should be better than that.

Am I the only one who gets an Armada Starscream vibe from that jet mode?

Has anyone else pointed out that the choice of molds so far is very Technobot-ish? Ramhorn can clearly be used as Nosecone, but given the frequent use of repaints in the CW line so far, Cicadacon could be the mold used as Strafe, Ravage could be the one used as Lightspeed, and Tarantulas could be their substitute for Afterburner... wondering if the fifth reveal will be a reuse of the Scattershot figure that's been shown?

From what I can tell, Sea Clamp looks to be a reuse of the Onslaught mold, which I am perfectly fine with. (shoulder details and lack of wings)

    Mildly off-topic:
Wonder how many people would complain if Hasbro made a Technobot wave... and the Scattershot they included with the wave was a retool of Onslaught homaging the Cybertron version of Scattershot.

I'm sure they would whine so loudly about it here, and then keep whining about it in their terrible unedited review of it, then keep throwing a fit until they fall asleep and forget about it.
