Thunderwing would have made so much sense than Bludgeon.

Wow, I, I am just at a lost of words about how amazing next year will be being a Club member. While I think Thunderwing would have made more sense it doesn't mean Bludgeon doesn't look cool. Of course Spinister and Needlenose win by default and steal the show from other members, I'm just hoping that the club will do Crankcase out of First Aid and Quake from Brawl at some point to complete the Triggercons and Double Targetmasters.
The G.I. Joe's don't have me interested so that will save me money but being a fan of the Starscream mold means Ramjet and Skywarp will be a must at some point to go with him. I think this might be the first time in being a club member for five years now, that I will not hesitate in renewing but why do I have to wait so long for the subscription to go live.

They probably chose Bludgeon because they were allowed to use the Onslaught mold so forced him into it. Seems strange that they are allowed to use the mold so soon after its release.

On another note, which would make a better mold for Thunderwing, the Silverbolt or Cyclonus mold? If you choose Cyclonus then the regular head would be Silverbolt's still (homaging the inner robot) and the combined form will have Thunderwing's Pretender head either way. Regular robot would be called Thunderwing while the combined form would be called "Lord High Commander Thunderwing", using a name from the Marvel comics.

I'd prefer Cyclonus if it's only a new head. I think his wings will be more suitable.

I really like the Spinister and Needlenose figures but I'm not sure if I'm completely sold on the TFCC

Thunderwing from Silverbolt really wouldn't work due to the fact that in the prose story, Blitzwing Bop, They had the Shattered Glass Thunderwing in his original colours, but with the (at the time) Universe Silverbolt body. So if they did that, you'd basically be getting a SG Thunderwing.

I am not sure I would go that far, Bludgeon was actually a member of MAS and while his tooling isn't a tank its still a armed vehicle. I would have been happy either way.

Although Thunderwing from cyclonus as the shell with swerves target master as his inner robot mode wouldn't be bad.

That's probably true though Bludgeon and Onslaught don't really mix well.

I'd also say Cyclonus probably since he's more evil looking than Silverbolt.

    I guess.

Fuck them, I'm still making my own Needlenose and Spinister. Not gonna shell out another couple hundred just for some BS repaints. Needlenose looks better on Skydive anyways.

Might be worth pointing out, with the Onslaught mold, there is a high chance the combiner torso will end up as Bludgeon's pretender shell - with the chest wings on Bruticus you seen see a bit of Bludgeon in there if you look sideways and squint. I'd say the club won't miss the trick in using the fact their Combiner team leader happens to have two different faces - and they've not used the better known one yet.

I personally think the choices are awesome, even though I wish Windsweeper and Needlenose swapped molds...

They're awesome choices. But I was planning on making CW Spinister and Needlenose for a custom Targetmaster combiner so now it's kinda like a "come on, really?" I mean I'm still gonna do my customs but...

So yeah I'll admit I'm a bit butthurt :lol

Yeah someone did a custom of Needlenose using Skydive and it worked like wonders but for TFCC that would require them to make a new head since they can't just take Firefly's head and head-swap I think.

True, like I said about Offroad's shins and head grafted onto Swindle to make an even bolder Ruckus homage, I'm not sure that's something Hasbro or FunPub would do. Though they did seem to bend over backwards for last year's Botcon Scorponok, that was a fairly large Headmaster.

Million Hero Publishing and Takara's Artfire did however use elements of both Inferno and Grapple, plus the Targetmasters.

Tried doing a digibash of Mayhem Maximus with what I could see of the robot mode pics.

Nice, I will probably swap ruckus and spinster as arm and leg though.

I've never cared for being a club member, that will change this year.

    Huh. Colorful.

You did remind me though... I really hope they change the name. *Maximus combiners are so Energon... Maybe Pete should do a contest to name him.
