Like in 2011, I would like talk about the 3rd party exclusives released at BotCon 2014. Lets use this thread to discuss what custom products are out there in this convention. The BotCon 2014 Customizing Class as an exclusive set of reprolabels for Primal Prime. They are among the rare label sets designed only for the accessory and not the figure, which is Primal Prime's surfboard and meant to homage G1 Optimus Prime's trailer stickers. Name: BotCon 2014 Customizing Class Sticker Sheet and instruction manual for Primal Prime. Store: BotCon Company: Fun Publications Price: $120 (Class, figure, stickers, instruction book) The class also comes with an instruction booklet with tech specs and an exclusive story. TFC gave Captured Prey a set of gun accessories meant to go with the Uranos (not-Superion) combiner. They gave them away with purchase of most anything. It is also found at BigBadToyStore.com (thanks Scaleface for corrections). After talking to Orson, he stated that he was giving the sets away because he did not think the quality was good enough and not worth selling. He claims the product that was given to him was of lower quality than what was advertised. Name: TFC Uranos Gun Upgrade Company: Eagle Store: Captured Prey Price: Free with purchase at CapturedPrey, $12.59 on BBTS Captured Prey was also selling the 2013 Auto Assembly Bad Cop set that turns a PRID Vehicon into Barricade. It is a tank that turns into a headmaster for Fortress Maximus. It is compatible with G1 Fortress Maximus. It is limited to 800 pieces. I also saw this sold at Bigbadtoystore so it is not a retailer exclusive. He currently has lots of pirate swords for sale for the BotCon Exclusive set. He also mentioned that there is a BotCon exclusive painted head and weapon set for Beast Hunters Voyager Grimwing. it is called Greeny G. Green and limited to $25 sets He usually does not paint the parts he sells so this is a rare opportunity to buy a pre painted product. I have a review of the set with Grimwing here. Renderform RF-016G Greeny G. Green Upgrade Set (LE 25) Company: RenderForm Store: Toy Dojo, Renderform Price: $40 BMOG is a design company that kickstarted their first project to produce accessory sets that can parts form into creatures. Their first Project was a bear and manta ray. For BotCon 2014, they produced 250 sets of these in matching Scorponok magenta colors. They said that they are designers and use Kieth's Fantasy Club (KFC) to manufacture the products. name: Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts - Ursenal Vs Mantax (magenta version LE 250) Company: BMOG Store: BMOG Price: $25 The Loyal Subjects have their own booth at Botcon, specializing in super deformed (SD) vinyl figurines. They have are authorized by Hasbro, making them an official third party. They debuted 2 limited edition figurine sets at BotCon. They will sell them only on BotCon, their website, and SDCC. This Cybertron Edition Soundblaster and alternate color Grimlock set is limited to 700 sets. Name: Cybertron Edition Soundblaster and Grimlock (LE 700) Company: The Loyal Subjects Store: The Loyal Subjects Price: $30 The rainmaker set is also limited to 500. Its basically the same characters as the BotCon 2013 Timelines Machine Wars Rainmakers. The figures are not named individually. Name: Rainmakers (LE 500) Company: The Loyal Subjects Store: The Loyal Subjects Price: $45 The Loyal Subjects was also going to produce a Shattered glass set exclusively for SDCC 2014. I forgot to take pictures of their preview figures. This also means that Fun Publications does not have exclusive rights to the Shattered Glass Universe. Hasbro grants the licenses. Also of note that an employee for The Loyal Subjects said in their contract hasbro that they prohibited form making toys that convert. I have a feeling it is indicative of their overall policy towards other people making transforming products (That is another topic for discussion). If you guys can think of anymore, please add it to the thread.
I have that Superion gun. Its been on clearance for a while. TFC Uranos Gun Upgrade - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Eagle's
Eh Warden redeco is only real decent thing and its not even exclusive, will be widely available later in the year.
I thought it was an exclusive package for Botcon 2014. Later ones will be packaged different. Also, there is the battle damaged Gauntlet, and a purple set of bear and manta from BMOG.
I ordered this set from AUTO ASSEMBLY last year as a 2013 Non-Attendee package. Needless to say almost a year later and those AA clowns STILL haven't sent their non-attendee kits out. FYI for everyone that is thinking of ordering anything from AA 2014!
The person responsible for sending out the packs lives in South Wales as well as the fact that they need to order the products from the suppliers before sending them out means that there has been a delay. Also, Auto Assembly isn't doing non-attendee packs this year because of the delays.
This is the only color version of the mold I've been unable to obtain. Anyone know where I can get one now?
