Wow. And at "10 per membership" too... I'm guessing they didn't sell as much as they thought they would.

Still not kicking myself for paying extra to have someone at the show secure the exclusives. Year-to-year, you just never know.

The freebie figure usually never hits the club store. Last year was the first time it happened.

But then the year you wait is the year you miss out. Sure, there is the part of me that does feel that "ugh, why did I pay someone extra money" in my gut, however the all-too familiar feeling of "DAMMIT I MISSED OUT and I don't want to go to eBay" trumps it.

Right now there is the echo of the collective facepalming of those who paid double or triple the price on eBay...

I am surprised the club comic is not up in the store... That I would have bought since I totally forgot to have the person who got me figures to get me a copy.

That is correct. And last years set REALLY took a swan dive in the sales department. Heck, even Brian and Pete admitted this much at this years TFCC panel.

You know what, I can't believe that I'm saying this but those two guys really did a stand up job this year. I could really feel their frustration at not being able to do the sets, themes, and exclusives that they want to do because of Hasbro's restrictions. made em' feel a bit more like "one of us". I dug that. Hope they keep it up. :thumb

Oh God, but this years TFCC subscription service figures...:puke:

Seems like the Scorponok and Defcon figures were the only sought after figures and they are part of the main set.

They're going for the obscure stuff, which I think only caters to a minority in the fanbase, BUT, I could be wrong. The G2 Starscream, Krok, and the Tarantulas figures are the only ones I have interest in.

The other figures actually look good to me, but I have no interest in them.

Agreed. The Box set itself was a home run. I think the attendee exclusives were solid offerings but perhaps either they overproduced, or the price turned people off.

I like Serpent-or, and I really want to like Tarantulas, but I can't bring myself to want him. Meh.

It just occurred to me, the G2 Starscream would go nicely next to my G2 Ramjet that the TFCC put out a few years ago.

    I dig G2 stuff.

I know, right. I REALLY want a copy myself. If none turn up at a later date, this will be the first Botcon where the comic has sold out COMPLETELY and not have been offered through the club store.

Some fans said that it was a little racy, featuring a lot of T&A shots of the Fembots. If so, I could see that selling out. :D

Here's hoping that some turn up. I plan on reading it strictly for the articles... :confused2

I think your right on target with this one Combaticon164. I had to fight tooth and nail to grab me a Scorponok under the going rate of $230-$250. I played an ace card with an insider at the last minute and scored one for $200. Kinda' dashed my fantasies of scoring one for around $175.00, but I guess I should just count myself lucky as is.

Got Devcon for $70.00. That's decent I'm told. But you know what's totally bazar this year...

EBay is like dead-barren for the exclusives. I mean that they are out there, but It's nothing like in previous years where by Friday night you can surf the auctions eight pages thick. I'm thinking that quite a few people are holding on to these despite the club not selling completely out this year.

I would be fascinated to get some final numbers on just how well this Botcon stacked up to previous conventions: sales of exclusives, fan attendance, fan reactions, the works.

...............AAAaannd still not front paged yet.

Damn, everybody's still at Botcon or on a plane leaving from Cally. Can't get a Mod on the horn.

If anybody see's this post and can help, I would be most grateful as I'm sure the fandom would be as well.

Maybe those will go up later. Don't see any shirts or hats up, and every year they always have those available in the Club Store. Guess we will have to wait and see.

That's G.B. Blackrock's job. He has a whole data sheet with every year's exclusive.

Oh, I agree that they went for real obscure choices this time around, but they may have just "obscured" them selves right out of a lot of potential subscription sales with these choices.

I'm planning on getting a G2 Starscream and Krok, but the rest are just to buzzer to be wasted with (IMO). ..And your telling me that they couldn't have used the RatBat mold to give us Leozack? :rolleyes2  Man, did they miss an opportunity there.

I know. Can't wait to read it! :)  I've felt like I've been trapped in a preverbal "Botcon Blackout' this year, Very little fan discussion on their personal experiences and peoples reactions to the event shows this year. Very weird...:inquisiti

I'm only interested in the Knight 3-pack and Pirate 2-pack.

    Definitely gonna save for those.
