Okay, the concept art for the TFSS 3.0 has been revealed. In your opinion which is the BEST of the reveals?

Tarantulas, because he's the only one I care about, and other than G2 Starscream, the only one I technically even recognized at all. Not exactly a new fan either...

They can all fuck off. Especially Serpentor Prime and Tarantulas. Biggest fails, in my opinion.

 

Krok, Zap, and Serpentor are my favorites. The seekers are more seekers and I want them for my collection, but they're hardly "best" at this point.

Tarantulas can suck it. I want Silverbolt from BH Dreadwing.

 

I'm having trouble picking between Krok, who is a nice obscure G1 character and feels most like the club's "bread and butter," if that makes any sense; Serpent O.R., who looks the best, deco-wise, despite being a bit of a reach; and Zap, who is the most "fun" of the six, a lot of creativity in that one. I may have to sleep on it.

Nacelle from Botcon 2007 Thrust for my taste is the best of the TFSS 3.0 reveals...

If l had to rank them l'd go Nacelle, Krok, G2 Starscream, Zap, Serpent OR then Tarantulas...

All in all its a nice group of obscure characters...I hope either Red Wing is the bonus figure or one of the Autobot Clones (with the other being the club freebie)...

Before they retire the seeker molds l still want Red Wing & Jetblade...

Honestly not too interested in this year's offerings.

 

Do people not realize when it comes too the obscure that its near impossible for everyone to like the figure choices...l understand being frustrated or upset at not getting what you want...but there are still plenty that'll like this group overall...l'm 50/50 right now but l'm cool cause there are limitations to character selection for the club...and if they were to do Animated figures or Diaclone homages l'd likelyy pass but wouldn't clown on the choices...if they do a group that everyone want s then it'll be an issue of availability...ijs

Hey man, some people DO like them. You don't like them? Cool. Don't buy them, but don't rain on other people's parades, either.

 

I actually think this is perfect. The obscure and odd character choices are perfect for exclusive membership stuff like this. It allows those hardcore collectors out there to get figures of their oddball favorites and allows for mass release of Characters that everyone wants at retail thus avoiding the Classics seekers debacle.

 

I'm a tad annoyed that there are no new heads...

 

Thing is, though, some of these are so obscure that it's debatable whether a lot of the hardcore collectors even know them. Stuff like Transmutate and Treadshot are a lot better known but have no real market potential as opposed to, say, Nacelle and Zap.

I just still really hope some of the new heads will be on these guys and they simply didn't do mockups for them yet...and that they adjust Tarantulas's colors so they actually match his show counterpart. It's a stretch for him to be a pre-Earth figure, there's better ones they could have chosen, but I'll run with it.

 

Kinda funny, but I just realized that there are TWO seekers in this! I was only looking at the G2 Starscream and somehow overlooked that Thrust repaint!

My classic seeker collection is already at 19....
