Source of leak. Just wanted to know if there are discussion about these somewhere.

 

Private discussions, but some of them I'd heard from multiple sources, and it lines up. We'll all see in a couple of weeks for sure either way, but I'm extremely confident in it.

 

While that all lines up with what I've heard (WHY THE WRONG CLONES???) it still doesn't explain the second Transmutate figure or answer which will be the pirate 3-pack. If we go by recent pattern, we should have two 2-packs, a 3-pack, and an attendee freebie. So we still have one figure missing. Also we were told there'd be 5 pirates and 5 knights plus the pirate 3 pack. A3 and Apelinq round out the Autobots. Does that mean Flareup is a Decepticon?

I haven't been told anything on pack layout, but I assume the list I heard is something like:

Troop builder:
Clones (just a two-pack this year I'm betting - we had heard some other rumblings about the troop builder this year being different molds)

Pack 1 (the more expensive pack):
Alpha Trion
Apelinq

Pack 2 (the cheaper pack):
Flamewar
Flareup

Freebie:
Shokaract

You could of course scoot some of them around, but I think that's the general idea.

Edit: Oh, regarding Transmutate - noone seems to know what the fuck that is. The general consensus is test shot or factory screw up from the club figure.

My thought is that the 3-pack is gonna be all from the Arcee mold and we're just missing one. Maybe Drag Strip or Nightracer....

For the life of me, I can't figure out why they wouldn't do Fastlane and Cloudraker as much as people have clamored for them... And instead do the OTHER set of clones.

Can't complain now.. Since this is all rumor..

 

Hrm... No matter how we cut it, it won't come out like Pete said it would.

 

It does with Tornado being the fifth pirate and if the clones aren't related to either side (just bots at whatever planet they're going to, or random robots, etc).

 

I don't think Tornado counts since he's an accessory.

Unless you don't count Zarak controlled Scorponok since a Nebulon controls him.

I think what matters is how the fiction presents it. They're definitely presenting Tornado as his own dude. He's not "just a gun". Meanwhile, Scorponok is seen as just a body, but Olin is the actual pirate.

 

If the clone talk is truth couldn't they have just done the Autobot clones deco and just included an extra bio card repurposing regular decoed vehicons as the Decepticon clones?...

 

If flare up didn't have a new head , then Id be disappointed as the previous one had a new head

 

Have to say - this rumored list for attendee exclusives is REALLY good in that it celebrates the whole history of Botcon - especially the 3H years in the 90s.

Very curious what the aftermarket will look like though - I can't see any of these being THAT hard to get offhand but I have no idea how much enthusiasm is out there for homages to old Botcon toys.

(Hell, Alpha Trion is gonna look FANTASTIC with that mold; I'd argue it'll work better than the proposed 3H version due to that head.)
