Well, the club makes a lot of obscure characters, and a lot of NEW characters. How do they market those? I think that was just a really strange thing for them to say. If they made Deep Cover, Tigertrack, Crosscut, etc, I'm sure they'd have no problem selling them. After all, they've already practically made Road Rage and Diaclone Ultra Magnus.

This is the only toy reveal that interests to me. And not because I love Rampage, it's only because a shelf with Depthcharge needs Rampage.

To me it's simple: No Animated toy, no subscription. Let's wait the other three figures.

Shucks, I thought I was clever when I made my custom Treadshot :)

Can't please everyone, even with my custom I'm all over this (and Gutcruncher if they ever make him).

Going to be great it sounds like. Now I am intrigued at what ideas they had that got squished by Hasbro besides DD.

Only thing that irks me is the part about there might not be a preorder for Transmutate. That would be a step in the wrong direction I feel.

Of course, why else would Silverbolt and Rampage be fighting over her? :)

I was going to comment about how three of the character and mold choices seemed taken right from the customs seen here. I know there's been a Protoform-X made from Prime Megatron posted here.

She had a female voice in the series. It was the same woman who voiced Lady Jaye in ARAH, best I recall.

me too! I love more Wreckers, so an extra limb or two are certainly welcome

I'm excited for the 3 so far. Curious who else will get made.

Nice Chromedome! I know how you feel. Auto Assembly exclusive Bad Cop (TF Prime style Barricade head/stickers/lightbar add-on by Keiths Fantasy Club for First Edition Vehicon) had the similar idea I had for using the FE Vehicon mold for a custom Barricade I made. XD

I keep hoping and praying that HeadRobots or some other 3P will make a Rotorstorm head/weapons add-on kit for DOTM Vortex. The colors of the stock figure are nicely matched to the character already.

Who cares who makes them. Hasbro okays them right?

Making Chromedome a Prime figure was okay since I don't like Prime figures anyway. And leads to the hope that Hasbro will make him a proper Generation figure sometime in the future..FOR EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE!

I actually bought that Vortex on clearance at BBTS because I'm also hoping for Venksta or someone to do it...

But official products always take precedence over 3rd party...

    Rampage from Megatron???

I know it's the freebie... but they should've gone with Voyager Shockwave retool... and just made it the Subscription Voyager/Mega figure.

Honestly it'd make more sense than the Whirl kit that was made via 3rd Parties. (Not to say it isn't cool... just that the Vortex/Tomahawk mold fits the G1 Rotorstorm design much better than Whirl.)

Chromedome is a pass on account that I have FP's Code X1. Still though, not a bad concept I suppose given his IDW version has a similar enough form the the Prime Wheeljack figure.

Customs go for the easy pickings. The club usually also has to go for easy pickings. Nothing really mind-blowing about that.

And funny thing is, when the club DOESN'T go for the obvious choice *cough* Generation Scourge = BW Depth Charge *cough* you get the opposite complaints.

Ditto. I have two Vortexes (Vortices?), one I got while in Japan and one from BBTS. One is subbing in as TFP Blackout (with Scorponok Arms Micron) in my TFP Squadron-X display. The other is sitting in my Classics Wreckers display, patiently awaiting some sort of Rotorstorm upgrade. I'm tempted to customize him myself but kitbashing will only get me so far. XD

Odd that no official company has made a TF Prime style Hot Rod using the Beast Hunters Wheeljack mold.

Looks like I will have more money for 3rd party figures again next year. Even if the other 3 are great I don't want to be forced into buying figures I don't care about to get them. Maybe next year's Botcon set will be more interesting.
