So we've known for a bit that the theme for Botcon 2013 is going to be Machine Wars. And I actually like the theme choice but don't see myself going after the entire box set. With that being said if the Club decide to troopbuild the RotF Terradive mold as Megaplex clones I see myself grabbing that particular add-on. So my question to you would be: If you could choose one character and pick the mold as well as decide on if the figure gets a new head, who would you choose? From what mold would you like to see this character re-decoed? And what if any re-tooling would you have done?

I wouldn't mind the Cybertron Thundercracker mold much if they'd re-tool the gun/launcher arm.

I'm gonna say the same thing I always say about post-RTS botcon sets. I don't care about the character, I just want an excuse to buy another version of the RTS Lugnut mold.

 

Either Red Alert into Soundwave or Cyclonus into Starscream

Sandstorm, made from DOTM Skyhammer. thattoy was one of thebest from the dotm line. he deserves some hot redeco action

 

My thought is that there were so few Machine Wars toys that getting them all in the set is pretty much inevitable. Were there any unreleased Machine Wars things? Not counting any Universe 1.0 repaints.

 

I don't recall there being any unreleased Machine Wars figures. But, I believe this is a good chance to expand on that story. I would hope that they don't just re-dux every original character.

 

I know they most likely will not break their embargo on using the Universe trilogy molds but by one figure would be:

Sandstorm from Energon Bulkhead. great mold and not used since the energon toyline.
