Only figures I would be interested in would be an Omega Supreme or the Constructicons. I refuse to pay 100's of dollars for mostly just repaints.

Animated, huh? Easy pass for me, but I'm happy for the Animated collectors out there.

@ the FunPub guys: Thanks. This will be my first Botcon purchase, and I am eagerly anticipating the previews. If my wife and I can find a way to attend (Bama is a little bit of a haul to California), we will.

@ DJW: I have often felt like TF:A was invested with pure joy, a joy that you and your co-conspirators have delivered to thousands of fans (in all our various stages of 'youth'). Once again, your hard work and devotion has allowed us to partake in that joy a little longer. Thank you.

@ Animated fans: Seriously, how many of you broke out into a big smile when you saw this announcement?

@ Johnanator: Glad to see that some things never change.

Anyone else think it could be that we're getting Blackout, Wingblade Prime, Thundercracker, Hydrodive BB, and Wasp like Hasbro was originally intending to release?

Mix in some other easy repaints and you have a party!

Idk about the unreleased figures because japan has them out at retail and it will make botcon lose money. I can see thundercracker and wasp being in the set due to being retooled figures.

Seeing as those toys are not produced, and even if they were, would be offered in limited quantities, a BotCon Omega Supreme would probably cost you 900 dollars.

    Enjoy! :D

I really hope this set is full of repaints of off screen characters. If it is comprised of characters that were on screen AND they look awesome....my broke ass is going ot get even more broke.

I'm afraid they'll do The Last Stand of the Wreckers. If that happens, they can have all the money they want from me.... heaven help us all. :(

I hope this means a set with Autotrooper, Elita-1, and more. I'd love to finish out my animated with them done right. Heck, autotrooper just needs a new head on the ratchet/ironhide mold and Arcee would make a great Elita-1. I'd like to see slipstream too, but her mold might require too much retooling.

I'd also love to see a deluxe Wasp with correct head, and anything else they can make that would fit with the molds available.

I wonder if they'll have the Animated SG universe invading the regular Animated universe...

    If this has:

    Elita-1 using Arcee
    Autotrooper using ironhide/ratchet
    Yoketron using Samurai Prowl
    Brawn using soundwave
    Hound using swindle
    Wasp using bumblebee

I might be forced into getting this set for the first time ever. Wonder who else they could make. The only likely remold I could see for slipstream is the activators though. T_T

On Twitter, Derrick J Wyatt asked "So which previous @Botcon figure would you like to see redone Animated style?"

Hint? So it could be a rehashing of old Botcon figures like the Shattered Glass peeps but using Animated molds.

I asked for Darksyde Megatron :)

I was wondering the same thing. Thundercracker and Ramjet at least seem like no-brainers for the club.

I have to really hand it to FunPub here. Given their comments at BotCon last year and Pete's comment that "things change," I get the impression that they saw how much the fans wanted Animated and then changed their previous plans.

I want the convention box to actually be Grandus (or, at least something I can stand in the background of my display to look like him). :)

Botcon? Does that mean Blackout, Thundercracker and the others will be Botcon exclusives, super rare and very high price?

Like Classic Thundercracker, Thrust & Dirge?

So if DJW's twitter is anything to go by. Making Animated versions of past Botcon toys would be wonderful as well

    Pyro out of Voyager Prime
    Banzaitron out of Lockdown
Young Kup out of Sentinel Prime
SG Blurr out of well, Blurr
    SG Grimlock out of Grimlock
Dawn of Future Past Rhinox out of Cybertron Ratchet
