I gotta admit, after just being there last year, I'm a bit miffed. I was really hoping for a place I could drive to being that we've had the last two Botcons at the extreme reaches of the country. Really, I'm not demanding it "be in my backyard", but I was hoping for a place that wasn't on a coast. I've driven to Kentucky and Cincy from Madison, WI and I'd gladly drive to Pittsburgh or St. Louis. I realize the whole point of going there yet again, is because of movie 3, but it would have been nice to see some diversity. I mean, Lexington and Cincy are essentially next door to each other, but nobody insisted we go to one of those cities twice. They could have easily held Botcon 2009 or 2011 in San Diego or San Fransisco if they insisted on going West Cost for both years. Being that close to LA, I doubt getting celebrities like Weird Al would have been a problem either year. I just hope and pray that this doesn't become a trend where they keep bouncing between Pasadena and Orlando, otherwise I'll be pretty much done with actually attending Botcon ever again. I'll just focus my efforts on Dairycon.
