Good points! And if DJW is excited by how Motormaster looks, all we can do is trust the dude.

Yeah I can't imagine DJW being "Just wait until you see MotorMaster... Ohhhhhhh myyyy goddddd..." if it wasn't truly awesome. I imagine it not being a prime repaint. We will see...

I've never been to a Bot Con but it's tempting to go since its in SoCal and my wife has family there we wouldn't have to pay for a hotel.

These Stunticons have as much in common with the G1 Stunticons as Animated Swindle does with the G1 Combaticons.

Plus limiting themselves to just using characters that had the same gimmick is quite restrictive. They could repaint Jazz into Ricochet but then he wouldn't be a Targetmaster so you'd still complain.

    Except for the 2005 set.
    And the 2009 set.
    And the 2010 set.

Well, I agree with most everyone with Blurr being Dragstrip, Rodimus being Wild Rider (a grey/black of his figure would be what a near eHobby homage nearly? but with his Animated figure!), Lockdown would be a decent Breakdown, espcially with the red-tinted windows... just like the G1 Breakdown had, but I'd have to suggest MotorMaster for a Magnus repaint, and no because so much for his vehicle mode, but his more imposing robot mode, but a complete different head sculpt or paint. Maybe even make his gotee longer or definitely black like Dead End's mustach. Heck, give them ALL robotic facial hair!

    And they'd be wrong.

Club Exclusive Cheetor is yellow and uses the Blurr mold.

Botcon Dragstrip using the Blurr mold would also have to be yellow.

Hang on...the design sheet for Dead end....why does it have colour details for the inside of the mouth if its just a repaint?
Unless...dare i even think it possible? Will there be a DVD included with this set?!?

Either that or Derrick is just that detailed for things well never see

Depends how you define it. Those boxsets each cost me around $300 but included a weekend of Botcon and the attendee figure.

A better guide for the initial value is the loose set at around $200 and 2005 thanks to Deathsaurus and Ironhide get that high as a set. 2009 might not, but lets face facts for one reason or aother just about every one of those toys is badly flawed even then you'll still get close to the $200 at least and I think its too early to say anything about 2010. Most previous sets have found their level between the first and second year after release.

I'm betting that Dead End's design was originally planned for Shattered Glass Jazz (since they planned to do an SG story)

This is true, I suppose. I mean, I got my Shattered Glass Optimus Prime loose and bagged for $40 back in 2008...look at how much it goes for now. I guess I just expected some of the '10 stuff to be more sought after than it is currently, and I haven't checked in a while but I imagine the legendary '07 set has lost some value with the release of the Generations seekers. I guess it's all down to what's popular at certain times and who's willing to pay X amount for a certain toy or toys.

Honestly I'm suprised Clench and Breakdown don't go for more than they do too, but it is still barely half a year. The 07 set is probably less expensive, but Dreadwind still sell for big sums so does Bugbite and Thrust remains (at least to me) the best version thanks to the wings. And then theres A3 too. So theres still a lot of value.
