i'm on the fence, the stunticons willl be a complete team but who would the additional figs be? i don't want to have to go and buy older animated figs to complete a team/aesthetic look.

but if we go like voyager megatron and reg dlx prowl as scattershot and afterburner as one set, and then like voyager starscream and maybe sentinel prime as strafe and nosecone (the lance could be redone to look like a drill i suppose?)

like a set of good guys to compliment the bad guys.

If they don't use Wreck-Gar as the base mold for Motormaster, they're idiots, and it will be a tragedy. It's a no brainer, even if "garbage truck" does seem a little denigrative for a guy named "Motormaster" (or Menasor, for copyright reasons, I imagine).

They'll probably want to remold his face and lose the goofy smile... so why not remold the big garbage forks too?

I suspect this could be epic... though I'm curious to see what molds they'll use. There aren't a lot of cars in Animated to work from.

Theres cars enough! Bee, Jazz, Blurr, Optimus, Ratchet, Sentinel, Swindle, Lockdown, Soundwave...

Not all sporty cars but there's enough of 'em.

They could simply remove the garbage truck forks all together and it wouldnt affect the figure much at all. A slight head retool would be good though, lose the 'handle' on top and the antenae and replace the grin with a scoul maybe.

Ah, I was talking about the boxed sets...

for the boxed sets, here's the pattern

2005 had new heads for Ironhide, Chromia, and Deathsauras.
2006 had new heads for Optimus and Cheetor.
2007 had a new head for Dreadwind and new wings and tailfins for Thrust.
2008 had new heads for Goldbug and Jazz.
2009 had new heads for Flak, Scourge, and Kup.
2010 had new heads for Clench, Skybyte, and Breakdown.

Chances are we'll get 3, but if they're smaller figures, having 4 new ones would be wonderful if they want to keep the same price.

I am on board for wreck-gar with some retooling as motormaster, make his sword/blades chrome and it could work. the forklift bits would need to be removed. the blocky head and body would also work as motor master. i think rodimus would do better as breakdown with the spoiler and all. burr for dragstrip and lockdown for wildrider. i think i will be going for this, they can fight my animated dinobots.

i hated the whole animated toyline....

But i gotta say the colors hit that one out of the ball park for a deadend character...

not too bad to start with...interested to see the rest....

Gotta admit, I don't have a big connection to the Stunticons from G1. To me (and my cartoon-based bias), they were mostly a bunch of guys that liked crashing into things (Dead End was OK - he was kinda snarky), represented by toys that turned from cars/truck to boxier-than-usual robots, to a box with cars on it. :)

With that, I'm a little disappointed in the idea of an all-Stunticon set. I would have preferred a bit more variety in my Animated-style stuff (and since I'm unable to attend, anything outside the box set is potentially down to Ebay rape pricing.) What I'm seeing looks nice so far, so I'll probably get a non-attendee set if I can. I'm gonna be grumpy (and probably pay up) if the irresistibly awesome goes to the attendee set. (or -gasp- the freebie.)

well looking at the molds that are there for animated...FP is kinda F'ed in coming up with a complete set of characters that were not made that would appeal to everyone....i think the stunticons are about the best idea that they can do for you animated fans...i mean it is not like there are TONS AND TONS of avaliable molds like with generations, universe, etc.

there are 29 unique molds that FP can use from animated and maybe half that many from classics, generations wont be usable until 2012

they better pull out all the stops for 2012, considering all the awesome molds they will have to use.

TFA Stunticons? I certainly didn't expect that. Dead End does look nice but... TFA Stunticons? Really? That certainly came from left field. & I was hoping for an Elita One from the Arcee mold or something like that...

WHOA!!! Could not be cooler. Will definitely be getting and attending! Hope they don't use Prime as Motormaster, someone bigger - Ultra magnus would freaking Rock! Though Wreck Gar could work, though scale wise, bigger is better. What about Bulkhead as Motor Master with a Big Boxy Head?

I for one would love a yellow evil female Arcee as Dragstrip. That would be PURE WIN :)

And for extra figs I would like to see 1 Arielbot -- Silverbolt using the Seeker mold, 1 Technobot (Prowl as Lightspeed -- that's the tron cycle right?) and One Protectobot (could do prowl as the motorcyle - or Bulkhead as an ambulance First Aid.

Too cool! Botcon should NEVER EVER STOP doing TFA sets IMHO :)
