I find it interesting (if this in indeed his final paint) that Screamer has the paint scheme of his alternate universe friend.

Wait, I thought 'Screamer became an evil Autobot and Skyfire became a good 'Con? I mean, that's a Skyfire head and deco--and 'Con symbols on the wings.

    Do I have it backwards?

wow, those colors actually work a bit on this mold. they didn't even have to change the head.

i'd really like some more paint and contrast on him though. so much white.

...I have to say, that look absolutely terrible. If this is part of the box set, that makes 3 for 3 that have massively failed to impress me.

    You made my head hurt.

What I'm going to guess is that Starscream and Skyfire were best buds in this universe, ended up in their respective factions in the same way they did normally, but it just so happened that Screamer was good and Skyfire was evil. So, heroic Decepticon Starscream. Because if your example was true, then it'd be as if Megatron was an Autobot and Prime and Goldbug were 'Cons, when they're not. It's the "heroic" and "evil" parts that switched, not factions.

Alternately, maybe Skyfire got killed at some point and Starscream tweaked his colors to honor his former friend.

nice looking repaint, not a great mold imo though, not that I'll be able to obtain any Botcon stuff as usual (anyone want to sell a clear mirage for cheap? hehe).

Is that screamer with Jetfires colour scheme?

I'm with Draven here, it looks bloody terrible. Haven't been impressed with any of the Botcon figures this year so far.

Past years, eBay leaks have indeed been BotCon when we thought they were. This saddens me, because that is a boring as hell paint job.

Though I'm not getting the set, I have been impressed with Prime and Goldbug to a point. This one seems very bland. This set is also inconsistant. We have Prime with a more 'con paint job, but not painted like any particular 'con. We then have Goldbug, who is painted... like Goldbug. Then we now have a good Starscream, who appears to actually be a Jetfire deco. This can somewhat be explained with their backstory, but it is still inconsistant. Oh well- this set is still great in that it will appeal to some people and collectors, but not something all fans want in their collection.
